For sale: the 1892 Octagon 32-20 rifle that was the test gun in Snooky Williamson's book The Winchester Lever Legacy. The rifle was made in 1909. It is pictured at the beginning of Chapter 32-20 in the book. The rifle was purchased from Merz and comes with a hand written note of provenance from him, copies of targets from the book, a copy of the early flier offering the book for sale and of course, a fine copy of The Winchester Lever Legacy itself. This rifle has been in my safe for 22 years. It is just as functional as the day I got it, with good wood, lots of blue, a bright bore and it is the rifle that shot the tight groups in the book, ready to shoot some more for you.
