The Rasheed was designed by the Swedish engineer Erik Eklund, who based it on his previous Hakim Rifle (8 x 57 mm Mauser cartridge), which was itself a slightly modified version of the Swedish AG-42 Ljungman rifle (6.5 x 55 mm Swedish cartridge). This is a rare rifle, only 8000 were manufactured and only approximately 2000 are believed to have been imported into the U.S. The rifle is in very good condition--there is storage/handling wear on barrel but primarily on the receiver (especially on the right).
