Original US military Enfield, Winchester, U.S. Model of 1917. Near mint condition; the upper sling band and the cut-off bar are E (for Eddystone), otherwise all components are Winchester as best as I can determine.

There is an import mark on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle. Barrel is also Winchester, which is rare as most U.S. Enfields we see are re-barreled. Barrel date is 3--18. Serial number is 37xxxx.

The bore is in like new condition, sharp and shiny. The overall and detailed condition is as mint in every respect.

There are a few very small scratches on the stock, consistent with original military rifles. There are no rust anywhere on the metal parts and no damage, stain or soil anywhere on the stock. When I obtained this rifle years ago, I had to remove all the cosmoline to handle it comfortably.
