From a mid-west estate sale, a beautiful antique percussion combination gun 20 gauge shotgun and 45 cal. rifle in a side by side configuration. The 30" barrels both appear to have good bores and are topped with an adjustable semi buck horn rear and elevated front sight on a wide solid rib. The wood stock is in excellent condition but has several dings from use, the stock is solid (this gun should be a good shooter) with no chips but there is a small surface crack from the bottom of the lock to the trigger plate (see photos) LOP 13 1/2". The metal has a very nice even patina (see photos). The gun has German Silver fittings which include the traditional butt plate, trigger guard, nose cap, wedge pin escussions, patch box and eagle inlay most of the fittings are engraved (see photos). The back action lock plates have some light engraving but have no name on them. I have not taken this gun apart (I don't want to damage it) therefore it may have a makers name inside but there is nothing on the outside of the gun. This is a beautiful original piece that was made by a long dead master gun maker.
