This is an authentic G.Goulcher Marked full stock Kentucky Rifle with an overall length of 47". The octagonal Barrel is 31.5 inches long and appears to be about 45 Caliber. The L.O.P is 13.5" It came out of an old estate collection and uncertain about original origin. Lockplate is marked,"G.GOULCHER" engraved in a scroll., also engraving around the lockplate with a picture of 2 pheasants. There is engraving on the hammer. G. Goulcher was a Gun Maker who made precision percussion locks/ lockplates between 1856-1872. Many were used on American Kentucky rifles, Pennsylvania style,etc. The action works fine. Rifle is tight with wood and not loose in any areas. The Wood is in excellent condition for the age of the rifle with one repair to the heel of the buttstock as seen in the photos. It is a great peace of early American history. This is an antique so no FFL is required. The cost of shipping and insurance is $31.00.

Shipping Information: Handguns and Long guns are shipped USPS. All items are packaged with great care with no additional handling charges.

We offer a 3 day inspection on all firearms. Purchases must be returned in same condition as shipped, with no disassembly and be unfired. All shipping costs are at the expense of the buyer/bidder. Please check your local, county and state laws before bidding.

Payment options: Payment made using USPS Money Orders will ship as soon as payment and required paperwork arrives. Due to recent increased use of Counterfeit Cashier’s Checks, these payments will be held for bank clearance prior to shipping. Personal and business checks are also gladly accepted, however may delay shipping 2 weeks for bank clearance (We know the good checks clear faster, however, bank are sometimes slow in notification of a returned check).

New York sales tax: All sales to New York residents require a sales tax of 7% be applied to the bid total.
