Colt "Lightening" model, Storekeepers,38 Colt caliber, 3 1/2 inch barrell, pre-1898 so Antique, serial number 5387 made in 1878, second year of production. Its got lots of collectible features like it has the etched panel on the barrell, this was only done for a short time, it has the checkered rosewood one piece grips that are very rare, it has the long knurled cylinder base pin, and rarest of all is that it works perfectly.Overall its in good plus condition, traces of the original finish in the protected areas, the grips are very good, the bore is fair to good, the finish has some surface pitting, it has some case colors left, its still a neat old Colt.Lowered the price on 11-7-10, was 1175.00 now its 1075.00, its an "Antique and a good one.
