LG1162 Here is the lightweight descendant of the fabled Winchester Model 12, the 1200 pump action manufactured from 1964 until the late 1980s. This is a very nice LBJ-era specimen with the serial number on the bottom side of the receiver, and we estimate it was manufactured in the mid- to late 1960s. Serial number L8907xx, and we welcome serialization information on the 1200s. The serial number is on the forward bottom area of the receiver, just like the Model 50s of the early 1960s. This 1200 comes to us from the estate of its original owner, an occasional bird hunter in McNairy County, Tennessee. It has a very nice press-checkered walnut forend and buttstock, full original 14 inch length of pull with its original red rubber recoil pad. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells only, and barrel is 26 inch Improved Cylinder plain bead sight. Surface wear to this 1200 is only moderate, faint edge whitening and streaking on its glossy black anodized alloy finish receiver; small amounts of operation whitening on the underside of the barrel and magazine tube; faint amounts of freckling to the barrel bluing; and moderate scouring and weathering to the buttstock. We rate this Walnut-stocked, bright blue 1200 Winchester as Very Good, 75 to 80 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Since loading streaking to the shell carrier is only moderate, we estimate this shotgun has been fired around 500 times. Own this attractive, collectable 1960s Winchester 12 gauge for only $ 269.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $50 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground with full insurance coverage.
