Colt 49 Pocket model revolver , factory engraved and cased in 31 caliber , serial number 103959 with a punch mark and the number 5 underneath . All numbers that I can see match on all parts match with the serial number and wedge having last 3 numbers of the serial number . The Barrel is marked " SAML COLT " in old English script , the left side of the frame is marked in a circle " COLT PATENT " . The gun is heavily engraved with a floral design with flowers that covers 100 % of the frame , 40% of the barrel and 50% of the back strap , trigger guard . The back strap and trigger guard have 80% of the silver with some areas where the brass is showing through . The one piece walnut grip are of a higher grade than normal with some figure and 75% of the original finish and a few dings and scratches , but no cracks or other damage . The gun has 25% of the blue remaining mostly on the rammer and under the barrel. The gun is in very good mechanical working order with a normal amount of wear for a gun this old . The gun is pit free except a small spot on the left side of the hammer .The gun comes in the original case which has a crack in the top that has been there a long time . the inside of the case has the original liner that shows some wear. The case has all the accessories including the original bullet mould , a baguette style flask a nipple wrench and a can of Eley Bros primers . # 4478
