Kimber produces some of the finest single-action semi-automatic handguns on the planet, and its
introductions at the 2013 SHOT Show are no exception. A whole new lineup called the Master Carry
Series was unveiled last week, with all three siblings chambered in .45 ACP. The Master Carry Pro
version sports a four-inch barrel and an aluminum frame that shaves its weight down to 31 ounces. The
frame has been rounded in all the right spots to minimize printing and maximize comfort when carrying,
and it comes with Crimson Trace’s new Master Carry Lasergrips—striking G10 panels that employ the
company’s instinctive laser-activation system. MSRP for the Master Carry Pro is $1,568. The other pair
of members in the Master Carry Series have five- and three-inch barrels. Also new for Kimber this year
is a “pocket gun” called the Micro Carry .380, a .380 ACP single action with a 2.75-inch barrel. It tips the
scales at only 13.4 ounces.

OMG, I have faith in a gun manufacturer with as solid a reputation as Kimber to have a very safety concience minded proffesional salesman representing their products at such an event as Shot Show, give them just a little more credit than that.

OMG…. What’re you guys, nine? Yes, there is gun safety concerns, yes, he pointed a gun at himself to show A CAMERA AND THE VIEWER the unique features of a pistol. No, there’s no other way to point the gun safely in a crowded gun show except up and down, which means you yahoos would be complaining because “he didn’t demonstrate the gun properly.” Grow up, be adults and realize what the “salesman” was trying to demonstrate. Oh, and if the, empty magazine, tethered to the table, gun HAD miraculously gone off, he would’ve shot HIMSELF. Maybe you guys should go to Walmart and look at the Taurus’s and Rugers, probably more your appetite than a Kimber…. while you’re there you can buy more teeth! Maybe they’re on sale!

It’s the prozac generation Halley. This is what mood altering drugs have left us with in America, a bunch of thoughtless, soul-less robots repeating what they heard last until they hear something new.

  • Abe January 23, 2013, 3:44 am

You guys are being silly. I was at SHOT this year, and there is no safe direction to point a firearm there except straight up or down, which would make for a terrible interview. I literally had a hard time not reacting to all of the barrels and optics being pointed in my direction, otherwise I would have been ducking and dodging all day long. Can we get back to the Kimber now?

  • Al January 22, 2013, 11:25 pm

Admin: there is no rational common sense in this country anymore it’s one size fits all laws and common sense. Didn’t you know that. Conform to their way of thinking or you are wrong… you can never make a gun safe. I jest of course.

    • Al January 22, 2013, 11:30 pm

I didn’t see any fingers on triggers unlike some idiots who give responsible gun owners a bad name. Glad I watched, I’ve been looking at getting me a Kimber .45 and this new model just may be the one. Kimber makes the classiest and smoothest action auto’s I’ve seen.

  • Brian January 22, 2013, 1:35 pm

My father told me that a firearms is always, always, always loaded even when you know it isn’t.

    • Administrator January 22, 2013, 3:05 pm

Could be he never thought of this kind of case, ya think?

  • Frank Leptich January 22, 2013, 1:12 pm

Nice way to demo a gun. Point it in all directions including yourself. Disabled or not you never point a gun at someone.

    • Administrator January 22, 2013, 3:04 pm

You have turned into autobots and you don’t think anymore. Get off the prozac and come back to humanity.

      • Mark Wynn January 24, 2013, 1:11 am

        Feel better? ;-}

  • Unlicensed Dremel January 22, 2013, 9:46 am

Hey, I’ve got an idea… Let’s violate Rule #1 and point a gun repeatedly at my own chest…wtf? Having said that, more C-bob options is a good thing.

    • Administrator January 22, 2013, 10:16 am

The guns are disabled at the show specifically because they will be handled and photographed.

    • OldGuy January 22, 2013, 10:35 am

wtf, Dremel? He is not pointing it at himself. Don’t know what is on his left, but I do know he is looking to the right.

      • Mark Wynn January 24, 2013, 1:07 am

I, too, was so ingrained in gun safety that I yell at actors on tv crossing their partners … but I saw the red tag on the trigger and assumed it was a gun show indicator that re-tagged and cabled guns had been cleared. Just the same would have been cool if the demo guy had “cleared it” before starting, just for good example on camera.

    • mr_bad_example January 28, 2013, 4:30 am

ummm, dumbass, are you blind? these are display models with no magazines in the wells. i bet all the guns you’ve ever fired are tethered to a table.
