Less than a week after Sandy Hook we published an article attempting to reach out to women and minority gun owners. The media and political reaction to the murder of bunch of cute white kids should have been overshadowed in the Black, Hispanic and Asian communities with an overwhelming “WHAT ABOUT US?” Unfortunately it was not, and it is time for minority voters to take their leaders to task for it. The worst offender is President Obama, whose is nothing short of a race traitor. Instead of trying to disarm honest and law abiding Americans, President Obama should be bringing jobs back to America by destroying all of the various, failed, free trade agreements and instituting a tarrif on Chinese goods that matches the ones they put on our American made products that enter their country for sale. If you want to address violence, including gun violence, in our inner cities, bring back opportunity and prosperity Mr. President, and arm the victims. “God created man, but Sam Colt made them equal.” This should be the rallying cry of the leaders of minorities living under the rule of gangs, drugs, and crime. Thankfully some of what we have been explaining is finally making it through to the mainstream. This guy, Colion Noir, started making his own videos on the corrupt thinking of the anti-gunners, so NRA snapped him up for these high production level Youtube channel vids. They are very good, and you should try to share this with as many people as you possibly can. As we have explained before, it isn’t white middle class America that the NRA has been out fighting for all of these years. We have guns! Both the McDonald and Heller decisions were about inner city minority gun ownership. Please NRA, keep Wayne and the other old men in suits in the closet and let Colion do the talking to America.

Finally someone with an real from the heart message that hits the ball out of the park….Noir is someone I would surely support for public office over these present elected office holders who have told us they support our right to bare arms, but in truth have caved to President Obama on gun rights and other issues (Obama Care) while turning a blind eye to other issues that have weakened our military and our country at least 40% since taking office and from where I stand I only see it getting worse under President Obama, as he does not care about the children, as abortion is not caring for the children and it makes me sick seeing him surrounded by children trying to push gun control saying “We must join together to do whatever it takes to protect our children.” While he allows abortion to kill our children…Noir’s message rings true and it is time for Americans to wake up and stop President Obama and his gang of Anti America gun grabbers before it is to late…..Ask yourself this question: Do I want America to become like other countries who have passed anti-gun laws that have clearly done nothing to stop crime and only succeeded in the disarming of lawful gun owners or do I want to stand up and keep America strong by supporting people like Noir who support gun rights? Wake Up America

Why does he have to be call the cool black guy..We dont say the cool white guy..Oh is he cool because he opposed the President

It’s not uncommon for you Left wingers to pick a part a statement and watch every word someone says to make sure there is nothing politically incorrect in it. When Trump is President the “Political Correctness” is over and done !

  • T.D. WHITE August 28, 2013, 3:26 am

Exactly what is required is someone that can go to inner city neighborhoods and teach good god loving people that they have a right to defend themselves, and how to go about it properly and precisely. Most gag-bangers don’t know how to shoot, at least not with accuracy a couple of years of neighborhoods not standing for foolishness any longer would just about do it. If grandma and grandpa can center punch you with one shot, the other guys quickly lose motivation.

Black, white, hispanic…whatever! This man is articulate and intelligent. A very smart move by the NRA to hire this man. Hell I believe it would serve the NRA and us (members) if he was President of the NRA!

    Godspeed

This young man is correct ! I’m not surprised at all based on my years in law enforcement now retired . What this young man said is profoundly correct ! And please why is it everyone pounding on color of skin ? It’s simple follow the money does not matter color of skin or education level Money is the driving force behind actions taken against any person by big government . Now if I were a young man and this young man were in my old military unit I’d take him under my wing along with others no matter color of skin and we would be one tough crew . I say congratulations NRA you may well have finally cut the cord that has separated to many based on race alone . If I took you out in the deep forest where we grew up in the south you might be surprised how many white folks are as dangerous as the Ganges of the inner city . You just don’t see it because they are spread out and hidden from sight .
As far as the current leadership in Washington minus the president it’s mostly Lilly white wealthy people who’ve never ever really seen the inner city at work on the street . I have known for years the killings on the street level far our pace the occasional rare nut case killing children . These people are usually mentally disturbed and weather they have access to firearms or not they will still cause such horrific killings . Many countries deal with terrible large knife attacks and we here nada about them do you ? Check it out ! There is one man currently sneaking around the country that pushes gun controll he was tossed from several nations and was around to profit from Hitlers mass killings . Do you know who this monster is ? Look it up ! The mayor of NY City has used that persons money to tecently attack a Arkansas senator for not agreeing with the socialist ( communist ) wave currently in Washington . They are running gun controll commercials right now in Arkansas yet not one of these elete have done one dam thing to help educate the Street lever children to better their lives . Why just as this young man stated they hope the African American children grow up to a point they kill each other off as designed . Don’t look away its coming to your middle class next and in a way they did in European history once they have your defense weapons all of you will be slaves ! If you disagree with them they will slaughter you . So please don’t make this a racial issue it’s a Free America issue . “oooh, it’s a black guy that isn’t rapping or carjacking someone… he’s great!”

Gimme a break. I don’t see why everyone is fawning all over this guy – he’s spouting the same victimization syndrome crap all over again, telling ‘white folks’ not to talk about ‘urban violence’ now because they didn’t care about it before some national news story. Maybe if more people in the ‘inner city’ actually gave a crap about someone other than themselves, like oh say, your fellow man/woman/child, instead of chasing ‘easy cash and round @$$’, there wouldn’t be such problems.

You see, it’s about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. I grew up in a broken home. I had a alcoholic/drug addict single parent. We relied on food stamps and ‘government cheese'(remember that?). Not ONCE do I remember talking to an adult about going to college or choosing a career path… I grew up in just as much $#!+ as anyone, if not more, but I decided to NOT steal, use/abuse, take advantage of others, do/sell drugs, father 6 illegitimate kids, etc. Why?! Because it was the right thing to do. You can do right or you can do wrong – it’s a CHOICE. Quit making excuses… everyone is soooooooooooo ‘in touch with their feelings’ that no one THINKS anymore. “Aaaaw, Jamal had a bad childhood, it’s not his fault. He didn’t have positive role models.” BULL$#!+. YOU are responsible for YOUR actions. Case closed.

I’m a gun enthusiast I own a AR15 an SKS several shotguns and high powered rifles, why? because I can and I like to hunt and target shoot. Everything that came out of this mans mouth is absolutely true and thank god someone took the initiative to say what needed to be. The one thing that gets me is every anti gun freak out there attacks assault rifles, well first they need to look up the definition of an assault rifle because what most Americans own are not assault rifles. I don’t know about you but my AR15 doesn’t have three round burst or full auto which is the definition of an assault rifle. Also they never stop and think what could have happened if any one of these psychos started shooting people with a 12 gauge 00 buckshot 7 rounds x 12 .30 cal balls =84 .30 cal rounds flying out vs 30 rounds of .22 cal with substantially less devastating knockdown power. Just my .02

I’ve seen some of Colion’s technical firearm reviews on Utube and they are first rate. His political commentary is also first rate. His talent and charisima are going to make him a celebrity just when America needs an independant and eloquent spokesperson for all law abiding gun owners. Keep on keeping on Colion!

  • Dave Broo May 7, 2013, 2:56 pm

Colion. Thank you for your insight. If you ever make it out to the Seattle area let someone know. I’ll buy you dinner!

Great work and spot-on commentary. Keep up the good work.

  • BOORAGG May 7, 2013, 2:21 pm

Great addition to the NRA. However, the ‘cute white kids’ comment was totally low-life stuff. Their deaths in no way should include comparisons or minimizing statements in order to preempt what the writer thought was going to be a ‘cool’, self-evident point of view on the outrage at that school. Of course, this often happens when someone tries to ‘crystal ball’ other people and tell us what they’re really thinking. I am sure they can speak for themselves quite well and need no interpreter.

  • Mark May 7, 2013, 1:34 pm

I listen to what Colion say’s, very simple and he makes sense.

  • Daniel Pugh May 7, 2013, 8:55 am

Mr. Noir, as a police officer who works in the urban core I cannot agree with you more. More to the point as a white police officer I’ve been echoing what you’re saying for years, but usually it falls only on deaf ears. Our whole political system is broken. Our leaders are detached from the day to day struggles we the working middle class and the lower class endure. I do have to take it one more step and say that until the minorities in this country stand up and fight against the crime in their neighborhoods it will never end. We as a society must fight to improve our dysfunctional education system, and small business must take a larger role in this, as they are the economic backbone of the country.
Thank you for the courage to stand up and go against the tide to speak the truth.

  • Carl May 7, 2013, 6:12 am

…thank you Mr. Noir for speaking the truth, a sign of Love for your fellow man. If everyone would accept the truth, we would have a much better society. A society that wouldn’t leave a lot of us feeling like we need self protection. Jesus came to testify to the truth,…and showed Love,… and look at what we did to Him. We would like to expect different, but should expect the same,…unfortunately.

We are all AWARE of the TRAGEDIES committed by CRIMINALS using FIREARMS in AMERICA. Has anyone noticed that these CRIMES are COMMITTED IN LOCATIONS where the RISK of RETALIATION IS LOW OR NON-EXISTANT. It is easy to IDENTIFY the problems AFTER THE FACT but has anyone CONDUCTED A PROFESSIONAL STUDY TO COMPARE RESULTS of CRIMES PREVENTED AGAINST UNARMED VICTIMS vs. ARMED VICTIMS ? There will always be CRIME but any SANE CRIMINAL is likely to TARGET the UNARMED VICTIM. THE RIGHT FOR REPONSIBLE CITIZENS TO OWN FIREARMS SAVED AMERICA FROM ENGLAND DURING THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. AN AUTHORITARIAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT WILL BE LESS LIKELY TO DEVELOP IF RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS RETAIN THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. CRIMINALS WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO ACQUIRE FIREARMS. POLITICIANS WILL ALWAYS SEEK TOO MUCH POWER AND CONTROL OF GOVERNMENT. WE CANNOT AFFORD EITHER.

  • Jack April 11, 2013, 5:28 pm

Bravo, just what is needed, another Black man who knows exactly what the problem is with new gun legislation. Why don’t these dumb politicians realize we are not as stupid as they are. I just hope the wannabe democrat voters realize that the Liberals have infiltrated the party and are taking it to ruination as well as it is taking the country.

  • Jim April 8, 2013, 3:01 pm

I have read most of the posts above. I am not very good with putting words together. I am very pleased to see this guy identify the true facts and have the balls to say it. The present administration is in office because most of the support comes from the low knowledge or low informed voter. The conservatives have got to realize if they want to stay in the game then they have to get off their high horse and start doing things that benefit the massess of voters. They have to realize how to appeal and communicate to the low informed voter. This guy knows how to communicate to the average guy on the street. We need to have more guys like him to spread the word to the people who are affected the most by this government of tyranny. Thanks.

  • John April 8, 2013, 8:57 am

What pains me the most, and this video is great, is that the NRA still fails to address the real issue. The issue is simple and straight forward. None of the 20,000 pluss gun laws in the USA written by the Federal, State or Local municipalities are legal. All are defacto infringements on the absolute right to keep and bare arms. Anything from gun ownership cards, to tiny hunting regulations that state what arms you may hunt with are ALL infringement as they are a government telling the individual how he/she may exercise their right. The NRA needs to go on the offensive and strike down all illegal laws and see to it that those responsible for these rights violations are brought to justice. The NRA should bein sueing the state of NJ as NJ needs to held liable in that mass killing their gun free zone sign was suposed to protect those kids, it failed the states law failed the state is liable….1 billion per child.
This pertains to every incident where any person is killed or injured where they were made suffer under the guise of some protective gun law, the state is assuming the role of absolute protector and if they fail they are liable for each and every life. More over untill the 2nd amendment is altered via the only legal process available to do so the right remains an absolute individual right, and every law enforcement agency in the nation needs to be reminders that this is the law, the only one that matters
Then we need support the arms mfg, and also urg that to end all arms and ammunition sales to any and all government agencies untill they the governments get in line with absolute invidual right. Why arm the unconstitutional oppressors? Think about it what would the founders say

  • Bucky April 8, 2013, 8:46 am

Banning guns also mean banning jobs for many people that have jobs related to guns. They should make it a requirement that everybody be armed. More guns mean more jobs. And criminals will think twice before committing a crime.

  • Phil April 8, 2013, 12:01 am

Way to go Colion, way to go! That’s the truth you speak: you and me, we see things similarly. The criminals are chomping at the bit for gun control legislation…. ‘Cause it DOES make their job easier!

I have been watching Colion for about a year ago after watching a review he did on a gun I was thinking about buying. I enjoyed the review but it wasn’t until after I watched some of his commentary videos that began to feel that this guy was saying what I was thinking. He is a lot different than a lot of other black gun guys in that he appeals to everyone who loves guns regardless of race (which Mr. Noir rarely brings up). I applaud the NRA’s decision to hire him but they should have hired him a long time ago. The NRA has needed to reach out to more than old white fellas for a long time. America is changing and we had better change with it or get busy packing it in. Go to his youtube channel and check out his videos, I think that you will be delightfully surprised.

WE IN NY NEED MORE SUPPORT FROM OTHER PEOPLE IN OTHER STATES. WE ARE BEING RAILROADED.NY IS THE TEST BED FOR ALL THIS NEW LEGISLATION. IF WE DONT GET HELP FAST FROM ALL STATES YOU WILL ALL BE UNDER THE SAME RESTRISTIVE GUN LAWS BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. BELIEVE IT ITS TRUE.THE NEW YORK LAWS ARE GOING TO SET A PRECIDENT ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL IF UPHELD IN COURT. YOU WILL BE NEXT. LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING IN COLORADO. THE FEDS ARE MAKING NEW LAWS TO GO AFTER PEOPLE WHO ARE REFUSING TO INFRINGE ON OUR SECOND ADM. RIGHTS.THATS RIGHT THEY ARE GOING TO ARREST THE SHERRIFS WHO ARE ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE FOR STANDING UP FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE. DOES ANYONE OTHER THAN ME SEE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS? EVEN IF YOU RUN TO TEXAS YOU WILL NOT BE SAFE IF THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS. REMEMBER WE GIVE THEM THEIR POWER AND WE ARE GRANTED THE POWER TO TAKE THAT POWER AWAY BY OUR SECOND ADM.

  • Bigpop April 6, 2013, 10:36 am

You know, the government is looking for ways to disarm the population and leave the firepower in the hands of the authorities. Why? So that they can control any type of armed insurgence that may take place. Good example, Syria, Lybia, and the other Arab Spring countries People need to look past the demand and look at the underlying reasons why the government is doing what it is doing. There is a growing dissatisfaction of what is going on in the world and OUR government is trying to put a lid on what is coming anyway !

  • debbie morrow April 6, 2013, 9:57 am

A token gesture that’s too little and let’s hope not to late.

The NRA and the other advocacy groups need to man up and take responsibility for their actions in the 1960s through 1980s when they never met a gun control law they wouldn’t support.

It’s going to take more than than this to undo the damage they caused.

What the things I think they need to do are:

    1. Take responsibility for creating two generations of people who, because of the gun control laws they supported between 1965-1989, have no experience with gun ownership or use and therefore see no reason anyone needs to own one. You helped to create this problem. Man up and take responsibility for your actions.

    2. Stop perpetrating the lie that it’s just the mean old Liberals who want to take away our guns. It’s as much if not more the agenda of Conservative Big Business. They have the money to pay off though campaign contributions politicians from both parties, provide politicians who are defeated with golden parachute private sector jobs in their industries and in lobbying that pay three or four times what politicians make.

    3. Create and fund defense agencies in urban areas with onerous laws which prevent concealed carry. They agencies will provide free legal representation for people charged with possession type gun crimes that would not be considered crimes without laws that violate the 2nd Amendment. They need to be represented by someone better than a harried, overworked fresh out of law school public defender. Someone who can bat around ADAs properly in court.

    4. Find and run 2nd Amendment supporting candidates for both parties in every election who will commit to the long haul and won’t drop out after the primaries.

    5. Create and fund support agencies in all major cities with anti 2nd Amendment laws that will help local businesses in inner cities obtain gun permits.

    6. Sponsor free or low cost shooting programs in inner cities to get people interested in shooting and firearms ownership again. The 4H has shooting programs, partner with them.

    7. Learn how to protest. We need an Occupy BATF program. There needs to be a substantial number of protesters with signs outside every BATF office in the US during business hours. BATF agents need to be identified and profiled. Every BATF agent needs to be greeted when they come into work ever day. ‘Hi Bob. How’s Joan and little Bobby doing?’ The same when they leave. ‘Goodnight Bob. Hurry home. Little Bobby has a little league game tonight. You don’t want to miss it.’ They need to know that we know who they are and that we’re watching them.

    8. Stop whining about the anti gun people. This is America. People are allowed to have a difference of opinion. Grown-ups don’t call people names because they have a different opinion. Children do that. Children aren’t allowed to buy and own guns. If you want to be treated like children, keep acting like one.

  • LexingtonNC April 5, 2013, 11:46 pm

I’m glad we have forums like this to air things out. I hope we always do. But if we are not vigilant, forceful and direct, we will lose the opportunity to speak — and everything else we hold dear.

We do not need to reach out to minorities and women. We need to reach out to all gun owners … and, if we do, the minorities and women will come of their own accord because they realize that we see them as kin and not, somehow, separate … a demographic cluster to be appealed to as needed. Frankly, I’d like to see the videos on YouTube that show hot-looking women in bikinis firing large caliber guns and, in some cases, even hurting themselves just for the jiggle factor pulled forever. It would be as if a wave of common sense had somehow reshaped the coastline of low-brow comedy.

Gals, if you are hot-looking in a bikini, you are also hot looking in jeans and a blouse. Or a skirt & top. Or a dress. If you don’t look good in those, you don’t look any better in a bikini. Don’t sell yourself so cheap. When you put on that bikini and fire a gun, you turn other women off guns because they see it as one more way to be exploited. Guys … if you love her, train her. Gals, if he won’t train you before filming you, ditch him.

  • Rich April 5, 2013, 9:46 pm

I have my own theory. I don’t think they care one iota about safety or saving lives, and I don’t think they want to ban/confiscate guns – at least in the short term – because there’s too much money in it.

As far as saving lives go, all one has to do is look at the murder rate in every major US city under their leadership to see how much they care about that. If that doesn’t prove it, consider the silence in the ongoing trial of Philadelphia abortion clinic doctor, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, where staffers have testified they “routinely saw babies born alive and then killed with scissors.” Why is the government silent on this? Where is the outraged call to “save the children” on this issue? Apparently, the only difference between stabbing 100+ children in the base of the skull with a pair of scissors, or shooting 25 children with a gun is that the government pays you to stab them with scissors.

A dog is genetically programmed for 3 things – If they can’t eat it, screw it. If they can’t screw it, pee on it. For liberals if you can’t ban it, control it. If you can’t control it, regulate it. Then tax it.

Which brings me to my theory. This is all about control and taxes. The easiest path to government control is through dependence, and government already controls half the US population via handouts. The non-dependent are a different story. Instead of depending on government handouts, they pay for them through the next easiest path to government control – taxes. Taxes are how government alters behavior and controls the non-dependent. Liberals know banning guns will never fly, so the next step is control – via registration. After registration comes taxation. Assuming 300 million guns, applying an annual personal property tax of $50.00 each will give them $15 billion dollars they can use to buy more dependence, and subsequently more control.

I believe that the reason why we didn’t hear about gun control during Obama’s first term is because he was waiting for a plan to come to fruition. What plan? I am among those who believe Fast and Furious was a “false flag” operation, meant to flood Mexico with “illegal” weapons from America. Once Fast and Furious had caused the problem it was intended to cause, Obama then would have used it as the rationale for a national anti-gun agenda. It’s the Hegelian dilectic in operation – if you want to get to an objective but have no support, cause a problem – the solution to which is the objective you wish to reach. People will then support you in order to solve the problem.
Obama had every intention to put an anti-gun agenda into effect during his first term. Unfortunately for him, Fast and Furious was derailed for reasons he and his planners were unable to foresee, so they had to wait for the next shooting tragedy to kick-start their anti-gun agenda.

    • Car Jefferson April 5, 2013, 8:56 pm

You do realize that Operation Fast and Furious was started by the previous adminstration. That would mean that George Bush and Obama comspired in an anti-gun agenda.

      • van June 5, 2013, 4:07 pm

The Bush operation “wide receiver” ( I believe was the name) was shut down 2 years before the elections when the drug cartels found the gps chips. This administration started their own gun running operation for a totally different reason to prove that American sold guns were winding up in Mexico to use as leverage for gun control.

    • LexingtonNC April 5, 2013, 11:33 pm

It is debatable whether they waited for it or instigated it. They instigated Fast & Furious … why not Sandy Hook?

  • jeffrey bayonne April 5, 2013, 4:17 pm

  • Carl Jefferson April 5, 2013, 4:13 pm

I liked the video with Colin Noir and the other guy who was calm and rational about his gun views. As a matter of fact, I commented on USA Carry that his was the voice that the gun community needed. That voice being a calming rational speaking voice with some sense behind what he was saying verses the loud screaming voices which we first heard. I was and still am a little disappointed in Guns America, USA Carry, NRA, Front Sight and other gun related sites with there statements like “Even now the Black community gets it” or “reach out to women and minority gun owners”. All of a sudden the gun community needs women, minorities and Black folk. Black people hunt, fish, trap and sport shot just like everybody else. You want to pull us out of your back pocket like a teenaged boy and use us like a weathered condom. That weathered condom may or may not work just like this latest campaign to recruit black people into the folds of the greater gun community. I am a responsible hunter, fisherman and gun owner. I am not the person that you see on the 6:00 PM local or national news or the person that some folk describe on those good ole boy web blogs. This president can not do anymore than the other branches of government allow him to do. If you want jobs back in America, then pressure corporate America to bring the jobs back and quit our sourcing. I used to be a member of the NRA. That is until they became lobbying PAC flapping like a flag in a gusty wind. Back in the day, they were for gun control (look it up)when the Black Panther’s decided that they were going to stand up for the rights of the community against racist and out of control police departments. I do like that last line. Those guys in the suit’s do need to stay in the closet. They need to pass that information along to the republican party. Those ole tired ways just don’t cut it anymore. Let the gun debate be about guns and not women, minorities or Black folk.

    • Mr. Ard May 7, 2013, 11:08 am

A reply to a post by Mr. Jefferson…

What I see here is a bright young man. Yes, a bright young black man, but also a representative of young people in our country. Removing the fact that he is a young person and he is black, his arguments are still some of the most credible I’ve heard and he backs them up with facts. I never realized how many homicides go un-noticed in the inner cities while one mass shooting in a white community gains so much of our nations attention…and the attention of our president. I’d like to thank Mr. Noir for sharing this with us.

As to your insinuation that someone pulled him out of their back pocket, you are entitled to your opinion sir. That freedom is guaranteed to you under the 1st Amendment. My understanding of how he was chosen as a spokesman is different than yours. I understand that Mr. Noir has been making You Tube videos for some time relating to gun control. He became involved by posting his videos and it shows he was seeking to be heard on this issue.

I think it is very important that we recognize that gun control is an issue that has NO racial or gender barriers. It affects all of us. The US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment are there for all of us. For the NRA to have selected spokesmen and women from a wide variety of ages and ethnic groups, both male and female is much to their credit. I think it is refreshing to hear a young black person talk about gun control and the problems facing those in our inner cities, rather than just hearing it from “some old white guy in a suit”. It’s not just up to a bunch of old white guys to defend our freedoms. It’s up to all of us.

I am proud that Colion Noir is an American. I am grateful for his contribution to this issue and I am glad that the NRA has taken him on as one of their many spokesmen. Sadly, some people with anti-gun agendas would have you believe that the NRA and its members are racist. That is untrue and it is sad. I’ve always found that the NRA exists to support, educate and protect the rights of ALL gun owners. I can tell you that, over the years, the organization has never once asked me what race I am.

Gun owners come in all colors Mr. Jefferson and good people come in all colors too.

Keep up the good work Colion!

There are three things in this blog with which I disagree: First, the administrator’s comments that we need to add tariffs to imported goods. There is zero evidence that this improves the economic condition of the unemployed or partially employed, plenty of evidence it makes life harder for them, and it doesn’t bring jobs back to the USA. For a clear explanation of this, read Nobel Laureate Milton Freidman’s “Free to Choose” – the best and most understandable book ever written about economics. Second, I disagree with Colin’s comment about “underfunded” inner city schools. They’re not underfunded: their funds are misapplied and their teachers and administrators are politicized and unaccountable – remember what happened to Michelle Rhee in D.C. when she tried to fix that? Finally, at the bottom of this blog is the identifier “Black kid speaks for NRA”. He’s not a child, he’s an articulate and thoughtful (admittedly young) man. If I were the blog administrator, I’d ditch that word…

By the way, I agree with everything he said except as mentioned above.

    • Administrator April 5, 2013, 1:40 pm

Go rent “Waiting for Superman” and try not to cry at any point during the movie. Your other points are too moronish to even address.

      • DaveGinOly April 5, 2013, 4:52 pm

I agree with JohnJ about schools. There are countries that spend far less than we do on a per student basis and get much better (in fact, superlative) results. There are private schools and some local jurisdictions that do the same. Many of our largest school systems were taken over years ago by the liberal mentality that says problems can be solved by throwing money at them. And if that doesn’t work, throw even more money at the problem. Like their gun control schemes, they don’t bother to analyze the problem in order to identify rational solutions – the knee jerk suffices for them.

    • DaveGinOly April 5, 2013, 4:48 pm

This country used to run on tariffs on imported goods. Then we started the income tax, a tax on “internal” sources of revenue (hence “Internal Revenue Service”). Since then, we have relied less and less on external sources and more and more on internal sources of income. Why was this done? It was done in promotion of schemes like NAFTA and TPP, with the long-range goal of a one-world financial and monetary system (possibly under the guise of a one-world government – its not the government they want to control, its the finances/money, that’s where the real power is). After all, in a one-world system, there are no “external” sources of revenue, only “internal” sources.

No law abiding citizen wants to kill any “child of God”, unless that child of God is threating me or innocent people. Will it take 30 rounds? I hope not, but I sure as heck want 30 if I need it.

Yes it’s your opinion which is protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution which has been defended by men and women with guns.

As for your opinion, you are sadly mistaken to think you can hit a moving target, most likely during low light condition and under duress, with “one” shot. You are also dead wrong about your suggestion that shooters need to target practice at a stationary target, probably from a sitting position from a bench under optimal conditions. Let’s see how tried and true your aim is when bullets are snapping by your head, ears ringing, adrenaline pumping as you fear for your life. Why do you think the military and the police force train their personnel under real world conditions, under extreme duress?

You keep your gun loaded with 2 rounds GJ, I will keep mine with 30. And that’s my opinion.

  • Robert K April 5, 2013, 1:28 pm

The President said, If the Universal Background Check would save “just one child,” it will be worth it. Well here is that same logic. Swimming pools cause more children’s deaths each year then by guns. So why not ban all swimming pools? No you say? So it’s not really about saving just one more child, it’s all about GUN CONTROL now isnt it?

    • ChicagoGunSmith April 8, 2013, 12:42 pm

Awesome analogy. It’s important to put things into perspective, and everyone understand s a swimming pool irregardless of their stance on the 2A. Yes many things kill more people, children included, than guns, but guns are always at the forefront of the media. It’s not about guns, it’s about control.

  • Al April 5, 2013, 1:12 pm

This black young man has stepped into the vacuum that exists for 2nd amendment believers. He speaks to where the problem lies – how to stop guns from getting into the hands of criminals and mentally impaired people. People in the inner cities should be able to defend themselves because the police cannot do it; however, I do not hear any reports of inner city people defending themselves with a firearm. Think about Chicago, how could they get a weapon if they are not a criminal and the same goes for all those other inner cities with strong gun controls to keep guns from law abiding citizens? The politicians, Dems or GOP know only one thing, get the votes and that is the best way for law abiding citizens to protect the 2nd Amendment. Unfortunately, there is no “free” press to support anything other that the Dem position. Free press to them means very little reporting of non-Dem positions.

Yeh, kind of a tough call between him and Doc. Carson. I don’t know what Carson’s viewpoint about the fundamental invioability of the Constitution is and I do not know how Colion would fix the health care system and de-horn the military / industrial complex but it would be interesting to see them running together. Maybe Ron Paul has blazed the trail enough for a 3rd party candidate to win.

I watch a number of gun reviewers (Sootch and NuttinFancy, to name two) but Colion is my preference when it comes to commentary on the political / social side of gun ownership.

I CC carry and I approve this message.

    GJ,
I respect your opinion, and your right to voice it. But you are not taking the high road. Excuse me, but PIETY IS NOT A HIGH ROAD. It is your CHOICE and your RIGHT to use a small clip, but YOUR right does not have the RIGHT to INFRINGE upon the RIGHT and CHOICE of another. When our RIGHTS are replaced by ABSOLUTISM, WHICH THIS TYPE OF THINKING COMES TO, THEN WE ARE NO LONGER FREE, THEN IT BECOMES TYRANNY.

  • Nick April 5, 2013, 11:03 am

    GJ,

Ben Franklin said ” THOSE WHO WOULD GIVE UP A LITTLE FREEDOM FOR SAFTEY DESREVE NEITHER”. That is the big and small of it. If you give up ANY freedom, then you are not free men. For centuries our countryman were “free” to buy, sell, trade, barter any weapon, single shot or fully automatic, tanks etc. Yes, responsibility is a must in all things, but the lack of it by some does not warrant the restriction of the masses. Another great quote is “A GOVERNMENT THAT CANNOT TRUST ITS CITIZENS CANNOT ITSELF BE TRUSTED” . We have many in office who cannot be trusted. I am in my mid 60’s, my ancestors served with Gen George Washinton at Valley Forge, I would never give up the freedom which they fought for, and which we all now enjoy. The UN would be extremely happy if more gun laws are passed, and are elated by every gun banned. BE DILLIGENT MY FRIENS.

  • bcbruce April 5, 2013, 10:42 am

Too bad the title of this is “NRA Finally Hires a Cool Black Guy” and not
NRA finally hires an ARTICULATE person who speaks directly about the core issues of gun control.

    • Administrator April 5, 2013, 10:55 am

I disagree. NRA has educated America for generations about how these individual issues effect long term gun rights. Yes, they are a monolithic organization these days run by politically correct lawyers, but they are the only reason you own a gun today. Like any other humans would, they have made some mistakes over the years, but if you bother to read the articles in your American Rifleman (I get First Freedom) you would see that they are extremely articulate and a valuable resource. Most of what Colion says in this was taken from our articles, which were taken from work done by Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership at jpfo.org. The nice thing about the NRA bringing in Colion is that the media can’t put him on TV and tell the prozac’d masses that he looks stupid and wears funny hats, which is about the only genuine criticism they have come up with about Wayne and the other white men in suits. The NRA did come late to this fight, but they have done a pretty good job since.

  • ChicagoGunSmith April 5, 2013, 9:51 am

GJ, I gotta call BS on your claim to be a hunter and a gun owner and a CC permit holder and then you say you back the infringement of the 2A. (“Clips”?! Really?) But I could be wrong, it’s happened before and I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps what you claim to be is true, so let’s assume you are telling the truth.

First off what weapons of mass destruction are you speaking of? Sarin nerve gas? Hydrogen bombs? Surely you are not speaking of the modern sporting rifle, the AR15, as it is no more a weapon of mass destruction than a Twinkie is. Furthermore the AR15 is not an “Assault weapon” nor is it a “military style” weapon. Every time the gun grabbers think of a new name for it we can easily debunk their fear propaganda. According to the United States Army an assault weapon has to be burst of fully automatic to truly be considered “Assault. In regards to the military style weapon, well any Military sending their troops to war with semi automatic weapons will be surely defeated, and that is the AR15, semi automatic. So let’s call it what it is, a modern sporting rifle.

On to CC. You should be very concerned about these bans, assuming you truly are a CC permit holder. Can 7 rounds save your life? New York passed the 7 round ban which is now indefinitely suspended because it simply can not be enforced and was ludicrous to begin with. So let’s talk about those 7 rounds. Because the gun grabbers say anything over 7 rounds is an “assault weapon”. I’m sorry my Browning Hi Power is not an assault weapon. 7 rounds may save my life, but may be not. Since this is a thread about Colin Noir, I will take a phrase from his quote book. “I want fewer bullets. Said nobody ever who was in a gun fight.” Did you know the FBI statistic for POLICE shootings is 6 shots to put one round on target? This is during a gun fight, not range target practice. Yes Police on AVERAGE need to shoot 6 shots to hit their target once. True statistic by the FBI. So can we assume your abilities would be on par with an average Police officer? If so and there are two assailants, you are probably dead because you don’t carry enough rounds of ammunition.

As for hunting the AR15 rifle makes an excellent platform for hunting. You can hunt dear with 6.8 SPC. Or Hogs with 6.8 or 300 Blk. 223 Rem and 204 Ruger make excellent coyote rounds. The Ar15 platform is lightweight, Accurate, and more ergonomic than any bolt action rifle. It’s VERY soft shooting and allows for faster follow up shots. The AR15 is the modern sporting rifle, meaning it’s great for hunting.

I’m not a hunter. Though if anyone wants to take me to hunt hogs I’m there. I’ve never hunted anything in my life. But I can see from your perspective. How is it that you can not see how the big bad black rifle applies to my interests, my perspective? Because YOU don’t see the benefit does not mean that there is no benefit to the A15, to standard capacity (called high capacity by anti gunners) magazines. The benefits of the access and legality of these rifles and magazines to ALL Americans are numerous.

    1) Great hunting platform we already covered this.
    2) Great for other types of sporting, including service rifle, action shooting, and even bench rest shooting.
    3) The AR15 is simple AWESOME for home defense, unlike what Joe Biden would have you believe about the double barrel shot gun. (2 rounds to save your life. Really Joe?!)
    4) The 2A has absolutely nothing to do with hunting nor does it have anything to do with self defense. It is about defense to our country and about defense against tyranny against the very same people who wish to take YOUR guns away. (Read the federalist papers.)

Let’s talk about Line item #4, the REAL reason for our protection of our right to bear arms. It is about defense of our freedoms. The 2nd protects all others. Firearms became mainstream in the 1300’s and 140’0’s and at that time do you think it is coincidence that the time tested tyrannical system of feudal land owners and Serfs went away? God made man, but Sam Colt made them all equal. While Sam’s revolver wasn’t around in the 1300’s the sentiment is true. The firearm is the great equalizer. Man can stand up against tyranny and oppression. This is why we need freedom of firearm ownership. You know, George Washington didn’t use his freedom of speech to put down the tyrannical British King. Did he?

No, nobody wants to overthrow the government. We just want to keep our elected officials in check. We want them to understand that “We The People” are the 4th branch of government. We have the ultimate veto power. The simple fact that they know this keeps them in line. The simple fact that they know this is why they want to take away our guns. It’s not about SAFETY, not at all! It’s about Controlling us sheeple. Don’t think it could happen? I bet the 1940’s Germans didn’t think so either!

Albeit not the best spokes person for gun rights due to his assassination by a gun, President John F Kennedy said, “By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fear of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the 2nd amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationship, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the 2nd Amendment will always be important.”

But let me take my tin foil hat off for a second. I say it like this: Disarming the good guys won’t stop the bad guys.” The bad guys are not only street criminals, and mental ill, but also some politicians. Taking away all guns, as if they were never invented, won’t stop mass violence. Did you know the day before Sandy Hook 20+ kids were SLASHED in China? Did you know just a few days again in Chicago 200-300+ teenagers rushed the streets and mass assaulted innocent people at random, and that is the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened. It is insanity to think to ban a tool will ban behavior. You can’t legislate behavior, period. Bad people will do bad things! I own several 30+ round magazines and I have never had the urge to go shoot up a school or post office or mall. I have no desire to kill anyone and hope I never have to. These scary black rifles and 20+ round magazines don’t make sane people crazy!

Let me tune into radio WIIFM (What’s In It For Me), or what’s in it for you. Why should you be worried, how will these proposed “Assault” weapons bans and “magazine capacity” limits effect you? Simple, THEY (the gun grabbers) WON’T STOP THERE. Biden said it weeks ago. “This is only the first step. There will be more.” Feinsten said it “If I had enough votes I would take all guns away. Mr & Mrs America, turn them in”. They won’t be happy until we the people are shooting muskets again.

Thank you ChicagoGunSmith and thank YOU Colion Noir. Between the two of you, I think that just about says it all. It is truly no surprise that the same type of common sense words spoken by Wayne LaPierre can be rebuffed and ridiculed, but, when coming from someone whom is younger or more “cool” can be pointed to and cheered for. Proof positive that we as Patriots and Law Abiding Citizens and gun owners of all ages, Race, Creed, Religious affiliation and members of the Human Race stay strong, support one another and keep in the fight for our Freedoms. This is not a joke or a laughing matter or a passing fancy. This is not about one certain “problem” with this country. This is serious business and all appropriate approaches must be taken in order to silence the naysayers and madmen/madwomen trying to chip away at (with the end goal of stripping us of) our God given Inailenable Rights, with the end result of making us beholden to those in Public Office. Our Ancestors believed in, fought and died for what we have. Let’s respect their memory and their courage by exhibiting some courage and steadfastness of our own.

So you attitude is that it is OK to take away what someone else wants, just leave me alone. Wake up and smell the coffee, today it does not affect you, but tomorrow it will. Tomorrow they will take something you want and you will yell and scream and wonder why when it was you and those like you that allowed them to take away other rights by sitting back and saying nothing. Bad things happen when good people do nothing.

“GJ” is an anti-gun troll, they espouse the incrementalism of banning firearm parts first; the the whole gun eventually. I have seen his ilk creeping around on other gun forums. If he can’t prove his point on magazine capacity he resorts to his false” morality”, which of course is a personal decision that has no basis in a factual argument. The facts are many hunters and recreational users employ large cap mags… ever go for prairie dogs? Ever just want to target shoot without reloading? But nevermind … you all know the insidious nature of the anti-gunner. He’ll pat you on the back and delare his kinship with the cause and then stab you with the left hand… watchout. Just like Obama. Oh BTW Noir is great, good production values emphasized by appropriate graphics but he needs to show more frustration and incredulity. Make it slightly angrier at times, make it personal since says it’s his fight too. Or is it? Just sayin’…

    • Administrator April 5, 2013, 10:58 am

Yes it was missed at first and later taken down. We have discovered that nearly all of the comments sympathetic to the anti-gunners here are in fact planted and fake so we ceased to allow them. Some of Bloomberg’s money is being spent on unemployed teenagers to monitor blogs and discussion boards and shill for the anti-gun agenda.

Ladies & Gentelmen, tip your hats to a to a true voice for 2nd ammendment deffense!

Let this be a stepping stone where those of us who know we need to do more than just pass e & begin empty legislation, yet bring focus to the real underlying issues of destitution in our inner, & outer cities. Our youth is our future, it is for them that we should cling to our civil liberties, so their future can be Free.

  • Thomas Freeman April 5, 2013, 9:06 am

    GJ,
Sir,with all due respect the issue is not about a sportsman’s choice for a particular firearm but rather the more important matter of the infringement of our Second Amendment. There are largely two groups who are pressing for more regulations (citizen control not gun control); the ruling elite supported by do-good liberals and the criminal element in our society. These groups are not worthy to guide the direction of our civilization. We must choose wisely with whom we align ourselves. I appreciate your life-long commitment to responsible firearm ownership.

  • Gary Rainwater April 5, 2013, 9:05 am

The whole truth and nothing but the truth, finally thank you.

  • Doman April 5, 2013, 8:59 am

Till someone comes for your guns. Then your gonna wish you had a bigger clip. It’s not about the need its about the right.

  • JB April 5, 2013, 8:56 am

Come on GJ, the 2nd Amendment has never been about hunting, it’s about your ability to arm and defend yourself and family. When it comes to defending my family, I want the best there is, and that’s an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine. I spent a lot of years getting good with one, like the rest of my brothers and sisters in arms that defend our country, and by the way, I’ve hunted with it plenty also but I only needed one round to put food on the table. On another note, it’s my wife’s favorite weapon to shoot because that’s the one she is the best with.
One more thing, some of us can’t afford to have a different rifle for every situation, so I bought one that I thought would best serve for home defense and hunting.
There’s nothing more dangerous than being defenseless, and that’s exactly what played out at Sandy Hook. The gun control laws literally sent those teachers and principal into the room with that deranged gunman empty handed.

My wife shot an AR15 for the first time about 2 weeks ago. After her first magazine was dumped down range, she turned and looked at me and said “You have to build me one of these.”

      • JC April 5, 2013, 2:03 pm

        CGS
        I like your wife’s attitude!

    • Holdfast April 5, 2013, 12:22 pm

Exactly. I spent a lot of my time and taxpayer money getting really good with the AR platform. I enjoy shooting other firearms too, but in the dark and half-asleep, an AR is what I want because I don’t have to think, I can just operate it instinctively. There are literally millions of miltary vets in the same position. My neighbor down the street is a former Marine from the early 1970s – 40 years later he can still use the AR on instinct.

      • LexingtonNC April 5, 2013, 11:10 pm

Ans that is exactly what scares the shit out of Feinstein, Obama and Reid. You guys can make those scary looking guns sing. (And most likely know how to make them sing faster, too.)

If you’ve been screwing the American people out of their country little by little but have to take the next step all in one hunk — a big enough chunk that even Sleepyville is going to wake up and take exception — you don’t want 40 years worth of well-armed vets opposing you.

By the way, I hope your guys in Colorado are prepared to back the Sheriff’s action with a little civilian militia backbone. The Governor is betraying them and the rest of the citizens of that state. He needs to be convinced of the error of his ways.

  • JAG April 5, 2013, 8:25 am

Colion you are so right! I sure hope the one’s who took the time to vote for this guy who calls himself a Pre, crap I can’t even say it and give him that title he sure has not earned it. People need to start paying more attention on who their voting for, someone who’s not taking stand in wanting to be a dictator and care more on whats going on in the world. People need to see and act with more common scene then repeating something that was not working before this guy was lying in 2008 BUT NO HE”S SUCH A NICE GUY, wake up America this guy is a dick-ta-tor and a want to be rock star not a leader making choices that matter. GREAT JOB!!!!!! Colion Thank you for standing up..

    JAG

  • Stuart Hotchkiss April 5, 2013, 8:25 am

If anyone is to EVER win an award for a film it is this guy! Every word hits the nail on the head with the truth. THIS NEEDS TO BE PLASTERED ON THE TV SCREEN DAY AFTER DAY! IT ALSO NEEDS TO BE ON EVERY COMPUTER SCREEN.

  • Jeffrey Lawler April 5, 2013, 8:23 am

Good move NRA – smart. This young man makes a ton of sense on many issues. We need more articulate, educated
young people like him to help diminish the sterotype of the typical gun owner/nut/freedom lover/etc.

  • Junius Warren April 5, 2013, 8:21 am

I am black gun owner and the politics cause everyone to lose their mind. Its funny how Obama is described as a race traitor does this mean all white presidents said ” forget the minorities” ? which race has nothing to do with gun ownership but this is America controversy wouldnt be interesting without a factor such as race or politic preference Obama is a puppet to the machince called the senate and the congress. These senators such as finestien should be impeached she have direct intention to make sure every law biding American is disarmed. Colion does a good job of representing my views as a gun owner

    • LexingtonNC April 5, 2013, 10:58 pm

As the article pointed out, we old White folks are already armed to the teeth. We have guns, we have ammo and we have range memberships that we use. As a group we have shotguns, -good- pistols, carbines and rifles and enough high-capacity magazines to keep ’em fed.

Obama is fully aware that we are well armed and that minorities currently are not … and he is pushing for legislation that will make it impossible for minorities to catch up.

      Impossible!

I wouldn’t count on gangs coming to the rescue. Working class Blacks, Asians and Hispanic will either step up to the plate or lose everything they worked so hard for in the 60’s … and more.

Don’t quibble if someone offends your delicate sensibilities about race on the way to laying down some serious truth. We all have bigger matters to concern ourselves with. Picking at scabs will keep us divided and eventually defeated.

Look, what our government is poised to do is going to be an equal opportunity gob-smacking. Race will not be a protection. Either we all fight together or we all die together.

Remember what Blacks went through in the 60’s even though they had government backing. The dogs, the lynchings, the kangaroo courts, the beatings and rapes?

Can you imagine what it would have been like with government opposition?

If you’re not armed up and trained, you’re on your way to slavery again … only this time it’ll be permanent. It doesn’t have to be that way … but the bickering and divisions have got to stop. Now.

Call me whatever racial slur you care too … until recently I lived in Detroit and I’ve already been called most of them. Just tell me that you and those you know are watching to see which way the tide is heading and that you are arming up for the shit storm just around the corner.

      • LexingtonNC April 5, 2013, 11:03 pm

Oh, I agree about Colion doing a good job. I also like how he tackles the race issue. He basically has the nicest, most polite way of saying effew I think I have ever seen.

You’ve got your white people, your brown people, your yellow people, your black people and, after 4 beers and a roller coaster ride, you’ve got your green people. Color changes but there is only one race … the human race. Sit back and let it rock … ain’t nothing needs to be changed except for some attitudes.

        • Kent May 24, 2013, 2:46 pm

          Well said!

      • Junius April 8, 2013, 4:11 pm

Good point disarming americans is impossible but toward the end you noted as if everyone in this will be exempt from enslavement but blacks if things are going to be as bad as most of paranoid americans think no one we be exempt from the tyranny of the government unless the individual is ready to fight for themselves and family. As a minority with multiple firearms i can careless what the government plans I’m the low man on the totem pole because the majority of the population has the most guns

    • Dave Sanchez April 6, 2013, 12:06 am

With all due respect to you this imposter of a President (44th) of the United States of America, Has and agenda along with the members of his own (Democran) Party and the other traitors in the Republicrat Party have abandoned the values of those that worked hard to establish this republic which most ill-informed citizens think is a democracy (that which is ruled by a majority mob). When and until those ill informed people read and fully understand the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution, we will suffer under these tyrants who do know that they are exercizing power over people (falsely) who are the actual seat of power in this nation. They are but our servants who are there to represent us and enforce the Constitution which states that we are a people with liberty and freedoms. We need to fully comprehend that they have assumed too much power for themselves and think that we have given them such—wrongly –on their part. Wake up America –NOW!

      • randy Pickard April 29, 2013, 2:57 pm
