Colt Single Action Army mfg. in 1911. With 2-piece ivory grips. An intermediate smokeless powder Single Action Army with correct early serial number stamp locations on the backstrap and trigger guard. Single line address on barrel. Two line patent markings on the left side of the frame. Caliber stamp on the left side of the barrel. All markings are crisp. The frame and hammer show +20% case colors remaining. The grip strap and barrel show a mixing of gray with remnants of blue. The cylinder is gray with the flutes showing strong blue. Ivory grips rate excellent showing good age, some yellowing and a bit of shrinkage. Very good bore. Very collectible first generation Colt Single Action Army.
