SN 1672xxx. I am not an expert but I believe this gun to be all original and not a rework. I purchased from someone I knew and it was his father's WWII pistol. On the right side of the frame there is a "P" below the mag release and a "GHD" above. The barrel has a "7" in front of spring lug and "Colt 45 Auto" on the side of the barrel and a "P" on the side of the lug. No Arsenal markings that would indicate a rework. Comparing it to pictures on the Blue Book of Gun Values site I believe it to be 98%. The parkerized finish is very good with minor holster wear signs on the slide around the barrel. I did replace the grips with authentic military grips as the owner had put on wooden colt grips with the colt medallion.
