Description: Here is a first for us: a Walther PPK/S-1, manufactured by Smith & Wesson, and machine engraved at the Houlton Smith & Wesson Factory. Except for its initial test firing in 2011, attest the enclosed fired brass envelope, this pistol is unfired and unissued, never out of Smith & Wesson Corporate Custody until we got it. It is in its original box with its red cable lock, instruction manual, and factory registration papers. This Walther served as one of Smith & Wesson’s showgirls at the SHOT Show and a few other showings; it has been handled, but never had a 4473 form executed on it. Engraving, as the photos show, is floral pattern full coverage on the flat sides of the slide, and half coverage on the sides of the frame between the trigger and grip panels, and on the sides of the grip frame strut underneath the hammer. Note the traditional Walther banner marking incorporated in the engraving on the left hand side of the slide. Grips are factory laminate, also engraved and checkered, with the Walther Banner, and with finger / thumb swells. Like its standard issue VAH38001 mate, this 650782 Special edition shows no difference in quality with its Interarms ancestors. Here is what the factory says about the PPK/S-1: Developed in 1931, the Walther PPK continues to thrill the shooting public and the legend lives on. The PPK-S, with a longer frame for one additional cartridge, and the PPK are now both produced in the USA. Features of the PPK and PPK-S include a firing pin safety, manual safety with decocking function, double action and single action trigger and extended beaver tail grip frame strut. Type is traditional double- and single-action semi-auto, long smooth double action pull on the first shot from a resting hammer position, and then, on this specimen, a crisp 4 pound single action trigger pull with minimal felt creep on subsequent shots until the shooter chooses to end the firing session by engaging the main safety which decocks the pistol. Construction is entirely stainless steel; sights are red dot front and contrast red bar fixed rear; capacity is 7+1 rounds with the included issue finger rest factory magazine. Weight empty is a light 22.4 ounces. Surface detractions to this pistol are negligible. We do not see any cosmetic flaws, so we rate it as Mint or Near Mint in Box. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to make that call for themselves. We did not clean it. This special edition PPK/S-1 is a testament, as well, to the mechanical expertise of the Smith & Wesson factory workers in Houlton, Maine, who also brought us the 422/622 series of pistols. It is as much under factory warranty as any of its common run mates. Replacement price on this pistol in our area is upwards of $1000.00, if a person can even find one. We're offering the special Edition 650782 Engraved Walther PPK/S-1 in the photos, however, for only $ 659.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
