MAX II) rifle that you don’t see very often. In the Korean military, it’s called K2. The caliber is .5.56 mm NATO or 223 Rem The rifle is in about 98.5 % condition with a few handling marks. It’s inspection-ready clean. Daewoo rifles are very reliable and tough. This rifle’s design combines reliability of the AK gas system with the AR-15/M-16 design. This is a paramilitary assault rifle with an 18” barrel, a flash suppressor, and a sturdy bayonet lug. It is gas operated with a rotating bolt. The rifle has a folding stock (best I’ve seen so far) and uses AR-15 magazines. It really is an interesting design that works quite well. In fact, I like this rifle so much that I actually own two. I’m selling one of them because I need some cash. Besides being fun to shoot, they are a good investment as no more will be coming into the country. Importation was discontinued in 1986. The left side of the rifle is stamped on the upper receiver: “DAEWOO PRECISION INDUSTRIES LTD”. Above the magazine well on the left lower it is stamped: “MADE IN KOREA 5.56MM AR-100”.
