A limited number of these rare rifles were produced by the country of Albania. These Albanian SKS’s have unique features not found on other SKS rifles: unique bolt carrier handle, magazine shape, gas tube etc. The Albanians did on and off production starting in the late 1960’s and ending in 1979. Total production estimates run around 15,000. At the end of the 1990’s Balkan War and with the disarmament period that followed the United Nations attempted to destroy all Albanian SKS’s. The Albanian’s held back 6,000 rifles from UN destruction and sold them to American importers. This Albanian SKS appears to be all original. It has all stamped matching serial numbers on receiver cover, trigger guard, magazine, receiver, bolt, bolt carrier, extractor(EP), gas tube(EP) and stock. Bore is bright with sharp lands. Metal blue is in over all good condition. Stock has the usual storage and handling marks found on Albanian SKS”s. Stock is free of any cracks. This is a rare SKS that will increase in value over time. Small import mark under barrel.Rifle comes with an original Albanian Butt Stock cleaning kit.
