Login Contact Seller Description: Details: This is a lightly used "Remington 870 POLICE MAGNUM" 12-gauge pump shotgun with an 20" magnum barrel, adjustable rifle sights and a black Knoxx Spec-Op adjustable composite stock with grip. It has a 4-round magnum receiver and will chamber both 2.75" or 3" magnum ammo. The barrel bore is bright & shinny with no pitting. This is a police trade-in with the usual scratches, scrapes & dings, but it was shot very little. The "Police Magnum" model is the top-of-the-line in the Remington 870 shotguns made for maximum reliability and endurance. It was built primarily for law enforcement, security and the military. It won't fail you in your time of need. I'm a factory trained Remington 870 armorer and I completely disassembled / inspected / cleaned this gun so I know it is mechanically sound with plenty of life left. It ran flawlessly when I test fired it. Additional parts are available up request including the Wilson Combat +2 magazine extension, TacStar 6-round side saddle and 24/7 night sights. In researching the serial number, this gun was manufactured between 2001 to 2004 when Remington ran a separate line just for POLICE MAGNUM's. There are no plastic or MIM (metal injected molding) parts in this gun (unlike the Express model) and the receiver is metal. Read below to see what makes a POLICE MAGNUM so special. The 870 POLICE MAGNUM has these improved characteristics: An aluminum trigger group as opposed to the plastic one used in the Express models. An old style magazine retention system. A much smoother finish inside and out with minimal machine marks or burrs. The Police gun receives a higher level of inspection and finishing and is built in a special area of the plant from 100% inspected parts. It has a one piece barrel and the bore was polished. Heavy-duty trigger / sear spring. Heavy-duty shell lifter spring. The barrel is locked down with a "ball detent" system (as opposed to the lesser grade "synthetic magazine spring retainer" lock down used in the Express models). A milled extractor (as opposed to the MIM extractor used in the Express models). Remington builds these guns specifically for law enforcement and military use. They have to be 100% reliable and able to withstand the toughest of field conditions. For these reasons, the 870 MAGNUM is built to the highest standard for endurance and reliability.
