The Patented Screw-Saver was invented to quickly and easily enable the user to make precise fitting screwdrivers for slotted screws to avoid damaging the gun, gun screws and engraving. Screwdrivers can be ground to an accuracy of ±.001". Grinding with carbide burrs virtually eliminates burnt screwdrivers. Hex-Allen Drivers and Hex-Allen Socket Screws are notorious for sloppy manufacturing tolerances which are the primary cause of stripping. The solution to both problems is making your own hex drivers with ScrewSaver. Tight fitting Hex drivers can be ground to eliminate stripping.
