Woody was chief inspector when this rifle was built at Springfield and his readable initials can be seen on the cartouche marks. WWII clearly dated barrel. SA #6 op rod. SA #12 trigger housing. SA #3 hammer. SA #1 trigger guard. The wood is the typical, dark walnut used during WWII. I range test my rifles.
