Here is Mossberg’s 500 Tactical shotgun with Mag-Pul® adjustable stock and forend. Manufacturer and warrantor is O.F. Mossberg & Sons of North Haven, CT. Stock and forend subcontractor is Mag-Pul Industries of Cheyenne, WY. Construction is steel barrel, magazine tube, bolt, slide arms, and internal parts, with lightweight alloy receiver. Safety button, trigger group assembly, forend, and buttstock are all high impact polymer.Finish is black matte steel and black anodized alloy. Barrel is 20 inch smoothbore, .727 vicinity muzzle diameter Cylinder Bore, with 3 inch chamber. Sight is hex base brass bead type. All Mossberg receivers are drilled for Weaver #88 or 417 size optics bases or Mossberg 96200 rails for any Picatinny type light or optical device. Chambering is 2 3/4 inch or 3 inch 12 gauge shells interchangeably, with a magazine capacity of 7+1 on 2 3/4 inch, and 6 + 1 on 3 inch. Forend is vented and slotted, laterally and underneath, with raised rib lowers and off hand shields. It is compatible with a whole host of M-Lok Magpul rails and accessories. Barrel lug is drilled for sling stud, not included. Buttstock has lateral sling slots, and is Magpul modular as well, with removable M-Lok components. Note the factory issue steel reversable M-Lok sling plate and lanyard loop. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches, with removable half inch spacers all the way down to 12 1/4 inch l-o-p. Weight empty is 7 pounds 4 ounces, center of gravity at the breech face. Issue over all length is 41 inches.Each 500SP comes in its factory box with stock and forend instructions and tools, shotgun instruction manual that includes Mossberg’s 10 year warranty statement, and Mossberg cable lock.
