We stated “almost perfect” and it is! This firearm has been “very lightly” used. (If at all !!!) There are a couple of “very small,minor,and insignificant” blemishes on the stock. We have tried to show them in the photos but they are so small they are hard to show. The receiver and chrome lined barrels are perfect. It has been Gunsmith inspected and certified to be in perfect working order. We would still rate this Franchi Alcione SL-12 Field as “excellent.”
The Franchi Alcione SL-12 Field is a classic over/under shotgun with a style that stands it apart from its competitors. This 12-gauge model is designed to meet the hunter's or target shooter's unique requirements. This Field model incorporates features that make it ideal for handling and performance. One major feature is the barrel selection button on the trigger. The mechanically operated trigger can fire either barrel independent of the other. Recoil is not necessary to reset the hammer to fire the second barrel.
For shooter convenience, the Alcione SL-12 Field is fitted with the exclusive Franchi "no-catch" slip-pad recoil pad. The rounded top design of the pad limits any catching or snagging of the butt when the firearm is brought to shoulder. When carrying or pointing at a target, the cut checkered pistol grip of the buttstock and fluted forend make handling secure and comfortable.
The Alcione SL-12 Field is a versatile, 3-inch chamber over/under shotgun for small game,upland bird hunting, and trap or skeet shooting. Chrome-lined barrels have a vent rib with white front hi-viz sight and are threaded for interchangeable Franchok choke tubes.
