Description: A real time machine, made at Springfield with six digit serial number 273331, so that is a mid 1941 number. The barrel is marked "SA 6-41", matching up with the serial number date. Inspection shows parts are WWII vintage. The rifle is an excellent shooter. Because of the extreme shortage of M1 Rifles at the beginning of WWII, soldiers were training with broomsticks for rifles and all existing M1 Rifles were going to the war fronts in the hands of American warriors. This one is one that was there. If you'd enjoy owning a genuine piece of early WWII history, get this one. Pieces such as this are disappearing into private collections every day and are not seen on the open market often. More photos and details upon request.
