Description: This listing is for ONE set of grips. Buy 3, however, or any combination of 3 non gun non ammo items, and shipping is Free for the entire order, lower 48. Here is a real find from where they’ve been sitting for years in an Old Southern Warehouse. These grips are for the Colt Scout series of .22 caliber rimfire revolvers manufactured in large quantities in the 1960s and early 1970s. Manufacturer was one of Armi San Paolo’s contract suppliers in Brescia, Italy. Importer was Sile, Inc., of NYC, one of Colt’s primary grip suppliers back in their revolver-producing heyday, late 1960s through late 1980s. Construction is cut checkered, satin finish semi-gloss Italian Walnut, with nickel plated grip screws and escutcheons. As the photos show, these grips can be easily modified for a good fit on a whole host of Single Action .22 Colt Clones, most of which were manufactured first in Germany and Italy, then in Florida, and now marketed principally as the Heritage Arms Rough Riders. Most of the older revolvers will be labeled F.I.E. Buffalo Scout, Model E-15 in various finishes; or Excam TA-76 Buffalo Scout; or the Kimel Western Six. We will fit for the Rough Rider / Buffalo Scout series revolvers for $5 extra, or see our separate ad on this venue. Fitting only involves correctly rechanelling the butt pin recess in each panel by .20 inch, 1/5 inch toward a 2 o’clock position. These will bring grip thickness out from 1.175 at the screw to 1.4 inches at the thumb swells or 1.25 inches at the screw. Also adaptable are the German-derived RG66, RG67, and RG68 revolvers. Note that they will leave a hint of back strap exposed. We estimate thesegrips were manufactured in the late 1970s or early 1980s, and they have been in an old Southern warehouse until we got them. Own a set of these genuine Italian walnut target grips for only $ 16.00. See our separate ad on this venue for sets that we have already modified, only $5.00 higher. Any ammunition or personnel in our photos are NOT included.
