Description:
US M1 .30 carbine, serial 30337xx, made by Inland Division of General Motors, mid WW2. Wood and many marked parts are Inland, but some are not from the same year as the receiver, all are described below and shown in pictures. Major metal parts have been reparkerized, and the carbine has been fired very little since. This carbine does have an import mark so it is not a collector piece, but would make a nice shooter. We have test fired the carbine and it does shoot great.

Inland M1 sn 30337xx Specs:
Receiver: Sept 1943 – Feb 1944. No pitting, very nice appearance. Has a couple of tool marks on the sides, possibly from installing the barrel. Mostly hidden by the wood when assembled.
Barrel: Inland, marked “INLAND MFG. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS 11-43” and proof mark “P”. Bore is bright, crown and rifling excellent. Has import mark “Blue Sky/Arlington VA”, on left side of the barrel (see photo)
Front sight: marked “N”
Rear sight: adjustable, milled, marked “PI”
Bolt: round, marked “IO” with sideways “1”
Firing pin: marked “.U.”
Extractor: late type flat lip, marked “W.I.”
Barrel band: bayonet lug type, marked “SI”
Trigger housing: milled, has Inland logo on left side but it’s a light mark
Trigger: marked “F.I.”
Safety: rotary, marked “E.I.”
Operating slide: marked “PI”
Hammer: straight, marked “HI”
Sear: marked “BI”
Magazine catch: 15-round type
Stock: walnut, oval cut low wood, M2 type (full auto carbines designated M2 rather than M1 required this stock), marked “M” and “0995” in sling well. Probably an arsenal replacement stock. No cracks, far less than average dings/scratches, very nice appearance.
Handguard: walnut, four rivets, marked “IO”, same condition and appearance as stock
Recoil plate: unmarked
Buttplate: unmarked, square checkering pattern
Magazine: 15-round, marked “PW” – new repro
Sling: used good condition, C-tip
Oiler: unmarked, has some pitting
