Very tight model 1873 as stamped on the left side, chambered for the .440-40, and made by MERWIN & HULBERT. This frontier model is rugged, and made much better than a Colt SAA, or S&W Frontier. Barrel swings out to the right, and comes off the center pin, and then cylinder can be loaded. Good markings on top of the 5 1/2" barrel, and rest of gun, may have been nickled at one time, now it has been refinished in a more dull blue, not the modern hot dip color. Hardwood walnut grips are very good, and has a landyard loop in the butt. Excellent rifled bore, this model is also double action, and has the rare folding hammer! Not a beat-up , pitted out gun!WE SELL ALL GUNS WITH ONE PHOTO, OUR DESCRIPTIONS ARE ACCURATE. WE HAVE A THREE DAY INSPECTION ON ALL PURCHASES!
