Price REDUCED $500! Huglu Premium 28 Ga, SGr 17, o/u, Grade IV walnut, NIB! Guns > Shotguns > Huglu Shotguns
Description: Thanks for looking. This is an opportunity to purchase an exceptional hand-made, artisan engraved premium over-under shotgun by Huglu still new in the box at over a thousand dollars less than any gun dealer. I ordered this 28 gauge directly from the Huglu factory in Turkey – it is truly a showroom piece (serial number 99,800), but I am downsizing my collection.

As with all of the 28 gauge Huglus, chokes are fixed in these 26” barrels with gold sight bead at the end and extractors. The top barrel is full choke (one star), while the lower barrel has an improved modified (3/4) choke (two stars on the lower barrel). Three-inch (76 mm) chambers.

The true beauty of this piece is evident on the box lock engraving in the SGr 17 pattern – exceptionally tight and flawless hand-engraving in a bold scroll acanthus pattern throughout the receiver, floorplate, trigger guard, and top lever release topped with the gold Huglu double eagle, with a beautiful feathering engraved pattern along the top of the receiver and forend release. Standard safety with single selective trigger, with an overall weight of approximately 5 pounds 8 ounces.

The Grade IV Turkish walnut is patterned with a rounded grip and superpose forend, with fine hand-engraved checkering on both the grip and forend. The highly figured walnut has lovely rich, tight wave-like grain throughout the stock, with tiger-stripe pattern to the grain in the forend. Measuring at approximately 14 inches on the pull, the stock has a 1 & ¾ inch drop to the comb, a 2 & ¼ inch drop to the heel, and a 7 inch drop to the toe, and an overall length of roughly 15 & ½ inches.

This gun has never been fired and is new in the box – the bores are absolute mirrors and ready for dove season. I was also able to acquire an extra set of firing pins which will be included – not something you would likely ever need unless you put tens of thousands of rounds through it, but nice to have nonetheless.

Sales price reduced from $2495 to $1995, which is a savings of over $1235 off the purchase price from the DeHaan importer or other dealers. Normal retail pricing for this exceptional SGr 17 craftsmanship would cost over $2195 for the gun, plus $390 for 28 gauge, plus $645 for the Grade IV walnut upgrade, totaling over $3230 not including taxes. My price of $1995 is a savings of over 40% better than any price you'll find for this unfired master-crafted classic double -- an exceptional yet functional over-under as ready for the field as it is for display.

Payment by bank certified check only – (unfortunately too many scams using money orders are popping up). Once payment clears, fully-insured shipment with Delivery Confirmation Receipt will be accomplished via USPS to a FFL at a flat rate of $35 added to the final purchase price (slightly higher shipping cost to fully cover insurance). Please contact me for references on my previous sales and purchase with confidence.

Feel free to e-mail with any questions – I’m not a gun dealer or expert, just a collector, but will try to answer your inquiries or find the information you need. Additional photos upon request. Thanks for your interest!
