Description: Mauser K98k 8mm made by Steyr in 1944. Serial number 7597 appears on action, rear sight (3x), barrel band, bolt handle, shroud, safety, cocking piece and bottom metal. Other markings include Waffenamts, "ce" and "44" on front ring, "gqm" and "44" on butt plate and field-added initials "PH" scratched into right side of stock below action. Barrel is 24 inches long. CONDITION: Bore is bright with a uniform light roughness. Metal finish is about 65%. Stock finish is good. Wood condition is average (or better) for a battle rifle, with scattered scratches.
