Description: From its home domicile in the rough country next to the Tennessee River comes this bootlegger's revolver from the Prohibition Era. Manufacturer was Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works of Fitchburg, MA. From its 10000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1910 or 1911, perhaps First Year of Production. It somehow made its way, however, to a land flowing with sour mash and yellowjackets, and was modified into a pocket revolver around 1920. Barrel was originally 3 inches, now down to 1 7/8 inches with no sight and patina on the muzzle crown. Chambering is .38 S&W Caliber, with a cylinder capacity of 5 rounds. Action is traditional double and single action, but with a safety half cock position. Loading is via the right side aperture; unloading is cylinder removal procedure, with the cylinder pin and lever retainer. Grips are original black composite with brass screw and escutcheon. Finish shows fairly strong original bluing and color casehardening to the trigger. Balance of the finish is grayiish brown patina. We rate this pocket gun as Good Condition, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Cylinder times correctly in all five positions on both single and double action. We estimate this revolver was never fired more than 50 times. It was never a target piece anyway. This was a cheap but serviceable revolver that, among many others, made its way into the South during the World War One era, and served security duty for the illegal distribution of the South's number one cash crop during its heyday. It avoided clashes with the law until the hemp growing descendant of its original alcohol selling owner ran afoul of a West Tennessee High Sheriff in 2010. We're offering it for only $ 169.00. Not transferable to non C&R Civilians in Massachusetts.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
