Manufacturer is Fabbrica D’Armi Sabatti, s.p.a., of Gardone Val Trompa, Italy, located one mile from the Beretta Factory, founded in 1674. Importer and warrantor is IFG, Italian Firearms Group, of Amarillo, Texas, the Pedersoli Importer as well. Type is modified Mauser Bolt Action High Powered Centerfire Rifle. Chambering is .300 Winchester Magnum caliber. Construction is steel barrel, sights, swivels, studs, internal parts, trigger, entire bolt, and grip cap; with alloy trigger / magazine well assembly. Stock assembly is black fiberglass filled polymer. Barrel is cold hammer forged chrome moly, free floating 22 inch tapered medium, .608 outside diameter at the muzzle, .664 at the forend, and 1.065 at the receiver junction. Bore is six groove right hand with 1:10 rifling. Sights are screw on blade front, with windage and elevation LSA production 700 type rear. Receiver is four point drilled, and takes a 700 size Weaver 35 and 36 or Redfield SR 700 type, or even a see through alloy Remington 700 scope mount system. Nearest mount hole distance is 4 inches apart on the action, 1/8” shorter distance than a Long Action Remington. Leupold or Redfield SR type one piece bases are a NO GO on this rifle. Bolt is 700 type two lug with 60 degree throw; release is left side Sako type. Safety is right side 700 type, bolt locked on safe. Trigger is .300 smooth faced internally adjustable; photo specimen pulled at 5 pounds with negligible felt creep and overtravel. Magazine is BDL type internal with floor plate, with release lever inside the trigger guard. Capacity is 4 rounds of .300 Winchester Magnum caliber ammunition, so 4 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Action is bedded at both front and rear screws. Stock is recessed upper forward area, with laterally checkered area. Drop is 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 measured from the sights, with a 1 inch right hand cast. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches from the trigger face to the end of the 3/4 inch recoil pad. Swivels are .10 aperture diameter screw release, down from the standard .14 shank QD type. Weight empty is 7 pounds 13 ounces, centered at the breech face. Overall length is 42 inches. Finish is Matte Surface blued barrel and receiver with polished blue sights, bolt handle, and lugs. Receiver / Mag well assembly is matte black anodized. Each Rover comes in its gloss finish factory box with protective papers, five language instruction manual, trigger lock, and Italian language inspection certificate.
