Description: Up for sale a Colt 1911 Pre-Model 70 National Match. This Colt comes with the Original Box but there is no additional paperwork. This Colt dates from early 1970 before Colt started marketing the Colt "Model 70 Mark IV". This Colt is truly in Excellent Condition please see pictures for details. Please note there are no imprints or blast marks on the bolt face as well as no blast marks or bluing loss at the muzzle, indicating that this Colt was never fired. I've had the Colt for some time residing as a Safe Queen it was never fired or field stripped.

Also, the magazine was never loaded up as well. I've had this Colt evaluated by two different Colt collectors and they believe that this Colt was never fired. In any event, this Colt is just superb.

There are NO scratches on the slide although the light streaks from the flash on my phone camera seem to show. This Colt is in Beautiful Condition for a firearm that is 51 years old! This would be a great addition to any fine Colt Collection.
