Manufacturer is Shooters Arms Manufacturing Company, S.A.M., of Mandaue City, Philippines, with the same family of corporate ownership as Armscor of the Philippines. Importer and Warrantor is American Tactical Imports, formerly of Rochester, NY, but now moved to Summerville, South Carolina as a consequence of the New York so called SAFE act of 2013. Type is John M. Browning 1911 Single Action Semi Automatic Pistol. Construction is entirely 4140 steel metal; the only polymer on this pistol are its grips and magazine floorplate. That includes the mainspring housing, not always true for Colt pistols. Barrel is 4 1/4 inch Commander Length, left hand 1:16 rifling in the bore. Hammer is Commander style .250 wide, and with matching serrated face steel trigger. Photo specimen pulls at 6 pounds with moderate felt creep. Sights are black blade combat, dovetailed front and rear. Main safety is extended single side for right hand shooters, with beavertail grip safety. Mainspring Housing is B type round serrated. This variant is series 70 style in that it does NOT have a firing pin safety, no firing pin block. This pistol comes furnished with a total of one 8 shot blue steel Italian Act-Mag magazine. Grips are checkered surface Filipino hardwood. This pistol will accept any full size Colt 1911 Government type grips or magazines. Weight empty is 38 3/4 ounces with center of gravity at the magazine release. Finish smooth surface matte blue steel, with chrome plated barrel. The pistol comes to us from its exclusive civilian owner in Southeast Michigan, who traded for a smaller pistol. Surface detractions are minimal, only very faint edge wear. We rate it as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this .45 was fired fewer than 200 times. It is in its original box with instruction manual, protective papers, and factory certificate from June of 2012.
