This Colt U.S. Army "United States Property" stamped .45 Auto with the GHD stamping as well. This is the ordnance mark which indicates Brig General Guy H Drewry, Springfield Ordnance District Army Inspector of Ordnance June 17, 1942 to July 1, 1945. There are P Proof marks below the mag release and on top of the slide. This pistol has a parkarized finish as was standard for this manufactured run. There is an Ordnance mark behind the right grip on the frame which is lightly stamped as most were. This gun also has 1 Colt 45 Auto stamped blued magazine that comes with the sale. The barrel is period correct with glass like rifling (spotless) without markings. All proper markings and matching serial numbers throughout otherwise, this is a rare find particularly in such great condition. The factory original grips are pictured with factory stamped numbers on backside. Look the pictures over good and ask any questions either by calling our shop or emailing. We want to be sure you are happy and confident with your purchase. This gun is offered at auction to the highest bidder and is also on display in our retail shop. Condition is well over 90% and that is far above the few examples of these fine pistols that rarely come up for sale.
