Colt's R6600DH Delta H-Bar version of the AR-15 is one of the most accurate versions of one of the most famous military weapons of all time. These pre-89 rifles are highly sought after by collectors, as it is as close as most Americans can come to owning an M16A2. There is no sear block. The Delta H-Bars are incredibly accurate due to their 20" heavy barrels and the fact that they were hand-picked at the test range because they shot better groupings than the other Colt AR's. This rifle has all the original Colt packaging and comes with the original aluminum carrying case. Bundled in the case is all the factory packaging, including the original sling, all the original colt paperwork, original mags, cleaning rods, Tasco scope paperwork, etc. When we say factory packaging, we mean all the way down to the factory cardboard plug that Colt placed in the barrels before shipping. Stored in a climate-controlled warehouse for over 20 years, this Delta HBar is a true treasure. Quick release clip!
From my personal collection. Early Colt Model 6600 "Green Label" AR15A2 HBAR Sporter in .223/5.56 cal. Pre-ban serial number in the SP229 thousand range placing production to probably 1987-88 (1986 was the first year production on this model). Made for the civilian market after the SP1 series of AR's this model incorporated the new 20" heavy barrel (HBAR) with 1/7 twist for use with the heavier green tip 62gr ammo. A2 sights, A2 flash hider, brass deflector and round hand guards were also added to this model. This true Green Label Colt does not have a sear block and does have a bayonet lug, with heavy "C" marked bolt carrier and MPC marked bolt. Unfenced magazine release, smooth low shelf right side. Comes complete with the original Green Label Box and plastic sleeve, all with matching serial numbers. NIB
