Here is the current, state-of-the-art form of the Classic Colt Combat Commander model that retains the traditional look and balance of Jonathan Browning's invention with updates that maintain its status as the leader among experienced hangunners. We sold this pistol new only a month or so ago, and its owner traded it for a Lightweight Stainless variant of the same model. Its principal detraction is a very faint and inconspicuous slide stop streak just forward of the top of the left grip panel. Hammer face edge is faintly marked at the top from the fewer than 50 rounds it has been fired. There is a very faint streak on the upper edge of the left side slide flat where the matte begins. The magazines are not even marked from the few times they were ejected and inserted. We rate this specimen as Excellent, 97 or 98 percent, but photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and entire mechanism are bright, clean, and excellent. This is the classic 4 1/4 inch barrel all-steel Colt M1991A1 Commander, catalog #O4691, .45 ACP. It's entirely blue steel, 7 ¾ inches overall length, classic combat or Commander hammer, black anodized aluminum combat trigger, 3-dot sights, with attractive traditional Colt Rosewood Double Diamond grips. Its thumb safety is standard configuration, but the grip safety is extended for comfortable, controllable shooting. Aluminum, not plastic, trigger is standard, and all 1991 series Colts, this one included, come with beveled magazine well and two 7 + 1 capacity magazines. Finish, as the photos show, is matte blue vertical surfaces with bright blue side features. Grip frame is full size, of course, on the Combat Commander. Only the front end of the frame, the slide, and the barrel are ¾ inches shorter than the Government size. A word about the competition to single actions autos. Our photographer has carried and fired one of these for the past 50 years, and he says your Glock will go off before his cocked-and-locked Colt will every time. He subscribes to the opinion of the late, great Jeff Cooper, who says a Double Action Auto is a solution to a problem that does not exist. In a market awash with plastic, here is the original real thing, all 34 oz. of it. Own this original classic, still the definitive combat handgun, for only $ 719.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
