Construction is entirely stainless steel, only with black anodized, spring loaded dovetailed interchangeable red ramp front sight and matching white outline blade, windage and elevation adjustable rear sight. Type is traditional double and single action revolver with transfer bar internal safety device. Barrel is 4 inch heavy type, not full lug, with 6 groove 1:20 right hand rifling. Cylinder has the Ruger triple lock configuration, swing out with Ruger’s easy access thumb latch; and capacity is six rounds of .45 Colt Caliber. Weight empty is 46 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger. Trigger is .312 smooth faced combat type, with .300 serrated spur hammer. Grips are factory Ruger Combat Type, made by Hogue for Ruger. The Redhawk continues to be an outstanding value, vastly more attractive and better balanced than its overgrown sibling Super Redhawk.
