Description:
Colt Police Positive Special (1st Issue) 32-20 caliber 4 7/8" barrel SN:276003. Based on the search results from Colt’s website, the manufacture date is 1923.
Gun Condition: Mechanically the pistol appears to perform flawlessly. The barrel and outside cylinder has the most scuffing. The finish on the frame is in better condition. Appears to be some minor browning (possible surface rust) in bore and inside cylinder. No pitting noted in those areas. The pistol appears to be in good condition to be re-blued, if so desired. Cerakoating would look pretty nice on it as well.
Markings: Colt logo is stamped on the left side of frame just below the hammer. "COLT" is marked on the top of both grips. The serial number "276003" is stamped inside the frame and can be seen when cylinder is opened. The serial number "276003" is stamped on the cylinder arm and can be seen when cylinder is opened. On the left side of the barrel is stamped "Police Positive Special 32-20 WCF". On top of the barrel is stamped, "Colt's PT.F.A. MGF. CO. Hartford CT. U.S.A. PAT'D AUG 5 1884 JUNE 5 1900, JULY 4 1905
