This hip holster was made to be attached to the M1910 pistol belt. It is made out of heavy canvas and was designed to be carried by military paratroopers during airborne assaults. The earliest holsters were dated 1943 and were a khaki color. The holster pictured here is one of these early models. The later holsters were dated 1944 or 1945 and were dyed olive drab. This holster has a fold over flap that is fastened with two “lift-the-dot” fasteners. It has a soft interior padding. This holster was manufactured by Atlas Awning in 1943. Case is in excellent condition with sound canvas, padding, stitching and no thread unraveling to be found. Only imperfection is a lightly marked price of .99 cents on the flap. Credit cards 3.5%.
