From the collection of one of our retired Navy Career Veterans comes this pristine Single Action .22 Revolver from the Federal Republic of Germany. Since it is not import marked, we interpret the 67 proof mark to indicate its Year of Production, one year before passage of the 1968 Gun Control Act. 4 3/4 inch Barre, cylinder, loading gate, and working parts are blue steel; only the frame is pot metal. Hammer sides are classic brushed finish steel. This revolver is .22 Magnum Capable, so marked on its barrel, but we do not have its magnum cylinder, only .22 LR cylinder. Its only surface detractions are faint cylinder rotation marking, a hint of brown toning on the extreme edges of the hammer sides, faint muzzle edge whitening, and one tiny white spot on top of the barrel. It is excellent mechanically; bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. From its owner’s memory, it was bought new in Alabama in 1967 or 1968. Imitation stag, hard plastic grips are original and excellent. Model designation is written on the grip frame butt, the Texas Scout. Since most of these type revolvers were manufactured by H. Schmidt Company, that is who we assume the manufacturer is. We’re offering this very nice pre-1968 German Single Action for only $ 219.00.
