The "cut off" on the right of receiver is consistent with date. It has the double D with upward arrow indicating that it is a private rifle confiscated for war use. The "B" period serial number for the rifle indicates it was produced during the pre41 period when Lithgow mfgd just enough rifles to keep the factory open. All numbers match- rec'r, bolt, site, and stock [original to rifle]. The mag has the Lithgow star burst proof. The fwd stock is proofed "SLAZ". The butt is proofed Lithgow. Australian inspection proofs of MA over VII, crown over GR and L over P in crossed flags. Mk III rear site. The barrel is clean with strong lands. The wood is original to rifle, matches in color and has no serious marks or damage. This is a C&R firearm. If interested, ask for more photos.
