Description:
Remington Rand 1911A1, .45 auto pistol from late WW2. The serial number 24413xx dates to 1945. This pistol is in excellent used condition, with absolutely no pitting. We believe the finish is original. Grips are also in excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
Barrel is High Standard with a bright bore and sharp riflings. All parts appear to be expected types for Remington Rand. Magazine (7 round) marked "R", plus we are including an additional mag and some accessories, see notes below.

The pistol has been disassembled cleaned and lubricated. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where appropriate when reassembled.
Part Details:
Receiver/frame: 1945. The parkerized finish is in very good condition, with some wear at corners. The right side of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY NO. 2441332”. Right side of the trigger guard is marked “R” and “X”. The rear of the right side is marked with a crossed cannons stamp. The left side of the frame is marked “FJA” under the slide stop, “P” by the magazine release, and “L” on the left side of the trigger guard. Top of frame under slide is marked “G”
Barrel: High Standard, marked “HS” on the right side and “P” on the left side. External blued finish is in good used condition. Bore is bright with sharp 6-groove rifling and very good crown.
Slide: Left side is marked “REMINGTON RAND INC. SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.”. Top of slide is marked “P”. Inspector’s initial “G” is marked under the firing pin stop. The finish is in very good used condition, with some wear at corners and normal internal wear from frame and hammer contact.
Front sight: serrated 1943+ type, serrations sharp.
Rear sight: 1943+ flat top with square notch.
Safety lock tab: checkered, no milling cut below tab
Slide lock: serrated, no milling cut below tab
Grip safety: long tang 1911A1 type
Mainspring housing: late RR with 8 ribs
Hammer: RR WWII type with flat sides
Trigger: short 1911A1 type, checkered
Magazine release button: checkered, screw slot lock
Recoil spring plug: checkered, rounded tab
Recoil spring guide: short leg type
Grip panels: RR type with reinforcing rings around screw holes, marked with 5-point star and number on the backs. Excellent condition, no cracks or chips, only a little wear on a few of the checkering points
Magazine: Risdon, “R” marked on the base, excellent condition. We are also including a second magazine, marked “19200- ASY 5508694 MFR.M2911”.
We are including several extras with this gun: a leather holster, canvas magazine pouch with a spare magazine, plus a first aid kit.
