From the Charter Arms vault comes this brand new final specimen of the Pink Tigress variant of Charter’s Undercover revolver. Manufacturer and warrantor is Charter Arms of Shelton, CT. Factory variant number is 13830, with a hand lettered B suffix. From its serial prefix, it is a first year specimen or even prototype from 2012. Type is traditional double and single action true swingout revolver. Chambering is .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber. Construction is all steel, with the exception of the alloy trigger guard and grip frame, with factory rubber combat finger groove grips. Barrel is one piece 2 inch, pinned into the frame, with eight groove right hand 18 3/4 rifling in a full lug shroud. Sights are solid rib integral ramp front with frame integral fixed notch rear. Cylinder is 5 shot, and the Charter accepts ammunition from a 36A size speedloader. Trigger is .300 serrated face, with matching serrated spur hammer. Charters generally pull double action in the 12 – 14 pound vicinity, and 4 pound area single action, with minimal felt creep. Ignition is floating firing pin, with transfer bar safety mechanism that prevents the hammer from contacting the pin unless the trigger is fully depressed. Weight empty is 17 1/4 ounces, center of gravity at the trigger. Finish is durable factory Cerakote, black cylinderassembly, furniture, grip frame and grips; with pink accent Tiger Stripe barrel and main frame assembly. This revolver is brand new and unfired, straight from Charter’s distribution system. It comes in its factory hard shell case with protective papers, instruction manual, frame finish maintenance warning card, factory registration card, window decal, and gun lock. Similar revolvers from Taurus, Smith & Wesson, and Ruger command prices upwards of $800 apiece.
