Uberti .38 Special Winchester 1866 Yellowboy Carbine Navy Arms Import 1963 Very Good 19 inch 11 Shot 38 Spl 342200 C&R OK Guns > Rifles > Uberti Rifles > Lever Action
Description: This listing is for the exact rifle in the photos. From its home in a Kansas collection comes this attractive and early plum from Navy Arms’s cooperation with Uberti. Type is brass framed lever action rifle or carbine. Manufacturer was Aldo Uberti S.R.L. of Gardone Val Trompa, Italy. Importer was Mr. Val Forgett’s Navy Arms of Ridgefield, NJ. Construction is blued steel barrel, bands, sights, hammer, trigger, lever, screws, and internal parts with alloy magazine tube, Brass two piece Receiver and brass buttplate. Forend and buttstock are oil finish Italian Walnut. Metal finish is blued steel and black anodized alloy mag tube. Barrel is 19 inch, 1:16 right hand 6 groove. Sight System is band-integral half moon beveled edge blade front, with dual flip calibrated military style rear. Hammer is original style serrated spur .375, with .400 smooth rounded face trigger. Trigger pulls at an exceptionally light crisp 1 pound. Safety system is half cock hammer position and lever safety. If you don’t want this rifle to fire, keep your dominant hand off the lever and your finger off the trigger. Chambering is .38 Smith & Wesson Special, best for use with round nose lead bullet ammunition, or flat nosed full jacketed round shouldered .38. Magazine tube is full length alloy, and holds 10 rounds of .38 Special Ammunition, 10+1 maximum loaded capacity. Weight empty is 7.25 pounds, with center of gravity at the back of the ejection port. Buttstock length of pull is 13 1/2 inches from the trigger face to the center of the butt place. Overall length is 38 1/2 inches. From this specimen’s XX9 Italian Date Code, it was manufactured in 1963, only the fifth year of operations for A. Uberti, and sixth year of operation for Navy Arms. It is more collectable for that reason, and federal status Curio / Relic due to its age. Surface detractions are moderate, principally stress marks to its side and tang screws from the 1960s action job that lightened the trigger. Right side of receiver shows a half dozen or so tiny pecks in the brass, and the original finish to the walnut is somewhat weakened due to age. Finish is entirely original. We rate this 1866 Uberti as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. From the moderate amount of surface whitening to the loading gate and hammer face, we estimate this rifle has been fired no more than 500 times, no rounds at all for a Uberti in .38 Special. Hammer and lever safety stand and function correctly. Replacement pricing on its current production successor, imported by Uberti USA as number 342200, and by Cimarron Arms, is $1,000 or more. We’re offering the 1963 production Uberti / Navy Arms 1866 Winchester Copy in the photos, however, for only $ 839.00.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony. GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments.
