Kessler manufactured these shotgun for Spiegel. Kessler was also the designer and patentee of the levermatic 20 gauge shotgun. These are the same patents used to produce the Marlin models 56 and 57 Levermatic rifles. It Pre dates 1968 so there is no serial number. Date of manufacture is C 1950’s. It is a bolt action standard field grade 12 GA. The barrel is a 28” and the bore is in excellent condition. It is chambered for 2 ¾” shells. It is a fixed full choke. It has a beaded front sight. A standard grooved trigger and a box magazine. The guns receiver and frame are constructed as one piece. It is blued around 90% + coverage. It is a single unit walnut half-stock. Stock and forend are one unit. It has an LOP of 13 ¾” over a Kessler recoil pad. One piece walnut stock that has numerous superficial mars + scratches no cracks, and it is very sound. Couple of chips on the bottom front of the pistol grip. Some markings are “Huntmaster / Model 128 / Spiegel Inc. Chicago, Ill”. Overall the gun is in excellent functional condition. FFL required.
