This type was manufactured from 1909 to 1920 a total of only 59,400 revolvers were produced with a SERIAL NUMBER range of (1 to 59,400). The SERAIL NUMBERS of this revolver is (46029 and all numbers match) putting the Date of Manufacture about late 1917 to 1918 or there abbots. The Fit and Finish are in NRA 90%+ ORIGINAL DEEP BLUE factory color with CASE COLOR HAMMER & TRIGGER,it holds( 5) S&W 38 Rounds,it has the 5" BARREL (This is the most sought after barrel length out of the 4 different sizes offered by S&W on this Model of the PERFECTED MOD. 38 TOP BREAK Revolver).It is equipped with both a "TOP-STRAP & SIDE THUMB RELEASE"to open the Cylinder ,this was the only S&W TOP BREAK MODEL MADE IN THIS CONFIGURATION .The BARREL BORE is in fine condition like the rest of this revolver.
