A 20 gauge gun with three barrels; a 28” barrel choked full, a 26” barrel choked modified, and a 26” barrel choked Improved cylinder with a poly choke. All three barrels have the wide Knick vent rib and Ivory mid and front beads. LOP is 14” to an Ithaca Sunburst leather covered pad with an aluminum spacer. DAC is 1 1/2”’ DAH is 2”. Very highly figured walnut buttstock and forend with very fine Trap Grade Fleur di lis checkering pattern. The nicest wood that I have ever seen on a Model 37. The buttstock has an oval gold inlay engraved with the initials JWR. According to an Official Letter from Walt Snyder the gun was purchased by John W. Reaves, Cleveland, OH. by special order from the factory. The gun comes in a custom made case with a brass nameplate engraved John W. Reaves, Cleveland. Ohio USA In addition to the official letter the provenance includes some family history. Pre War 20 gauge M37T’s are very rare; this is the only Ithaca factory original three barrel pre war 20 gauge 37T set known to exist. Gun is all original and in 99% condition.
