U.S. M5A1 AERIAL Bayonet & USM8A1 scabbard (marked VIZ)
The M5A1 was manufactured during the 1960s and was the last bayonet made for the M1 Garand. Viz Manufacturing Co. of Philadelphia, PA appears to have been the successor to the Working Home as prime contractor for M8A1 scabbards. Viz appears to have only produced scabbards from May 1969 to November 1969, which accounts for their relative scarcity.
