Description: Customized mod 146 (originally 9.3x57 with military style large ring Belgian made bend down high bolt handle, barrel band swing, rear sight island, silver bead front sight Mauser 98 action) HVA rifle. I had made this rifle on a whim to "improve" the 9.3x62 and was considering making it into 9.3x64 but will consider selling it before I do that. Because every load must be made by hand, this is one of my most accurate rifles as well as featuring a super smooth well worn action which has been a pleasure to own and shoot, but life goes on and I have other projects which have taken me away from this one, including a great and rare 246 HVA, and a 9.3x64 which is also supremely accurate. Claro "safari rollover" old fashioned walnut stock with inch thick brown Pacmayer vented recoil pad, slight checkering in a simple pattern, extra long length of pull "new" stock, but left somewhat rough to simulate age and Weaver super high scope mounts (one inch scope size) are included along with custom leather strap. Action has been used much, with much original blue gone, simple, uncheckered bolt nob, and drilled and tapped for side scope as well as Weaver, barrel and other metal free of rust, dings, or scratches. A masterpiece.
