Description: From a mid-west estate sale, a 45 cal. antique boys hunting rifle with a 19" half round half octagon rifled barrel. The walnut full stock is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips but has a dark stain all the way around the butt (see photos). The iron metal finish is brown (see photos). This little flintlock is 31" overall and functions perfectly (including half cock) and what I can see of the bore it looks great. I have taken this little gun to several local experts and they have all said that the barrel is old style manufacturing and the the fittings are all hand made. The screws and fasteners appear to be old and possibly hand made. They said it was difficult to date the lock but that everything on the gun appears to have been unaltered from the original. They have all dated it from the late 1700's to the early 1800's but I am no expert and have no way to authenticate this rifle therefore I am offering this gun with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, if it does not live up to your expectations in any way return it for a full and speedy refund including your return shipping.
