Arisaka Rifles are advanced engineered versions of the basic Mauser Designs of their era. They are robust, easily field maintained without tools even with firing pin access by hand through the removal of the safety knob simply by twisting with a little forward pressure. After World War Two the US ARMY tested all the rifles used in WWII. These Arisaka receivers were the only ones they could not "blow up" due to cartridge partial or overloading. Before WWII Japan developed a special Steel Alloy sometimes generically referred to as "Nippon Special Steel" for their firearms receivers. No 'Mum, however, other markings are present (see photos). The bluing is in good shape, with the exception of some minor pitting, which is located primarily below the wood line. This Complete Receiver will make an exceptionally strong Custom Rifle Build able to easily withstand very high pressure cartridge loads and heavy calibers.
