This is Hornady’s Custom Grade XTP ammunition for pistols and carbines chambered in .357 Sig Caliber. XTP stands for Extreme Terminal Performance. Manufacturer is Hornady Manufacturing Company, of Grand Island, Nebraska. Construction is all US made, small pistol primers in brass cases with clean-burning Hornady powder. Bullet is 147 grain Hornady XTP lead core hollow point with 6 serration copper jacket. Factory specs show 1225 feet per out of a 4 inch Barrel, and 490 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Hornady's custom ammunition, writes the factory, is supremely accurate and delivers both accurate and dependable knockdown power. Included in the features are select cases that are chosen to meet unusually high standards for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, proper hardness, and the ability to withstand maximum chamber pressures along with primers that are chosen for their ability to quickly, completely, and reliably ignite the powder charge. This ammunition comes packaged 20 rounds to the box. Many custom grade loads in .357 Sig command prices upwards of $40.00 per box.
