This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. From a local veteran’s estate comes this seldom seen CZ45 pistol, properly Vzor-45. Manufacturer was CZ, Ceská zbrojovka a.s. of the city Strakonice, Czechoslovakia, under communist control at the time. Production year was 1948, so stamped on the frame's left side. Type is double action, hammer fired blowback semi automatic pistol with single stacked magazine and magazine safety. Construction is entirely steel metal, with polymer grips. Barrel is 2 3/8 inch, with 6 groove, right hand 1:16 rifling. Chambering is for .25 ACP, or 6.35mm Browning in European terminology. Slide is .643 wide at the port, and has lateral rear serrations. Sight system is creased slide top. Trigger is .325 smooth faced combat type, with spurless recessed hammer. Double action trigger pull travel is 3/4 inch, with 15 pounds vicinity of pressure. Extractor is external. The CZ45 has a magazine safety, but does Not have a firing pin safety or any other safety. Magazine is factory issue 8 rounder, so 8 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Overall length is 5 inches by 3 1/2 inches height. Weight empty is 14 1/2 ounces, centered at the breech face. This is a pocket pistol, and that is how it spent its career. Finish is bronw pantina and gun metal gray, from an original blue. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate it was fired fewer than 200 times. The VZ45 is the direct ancestor to the current production CZ92, not available in the US because of the Gun Control Act of 1968. We're offering the CZ45 in the photos, however, for only $ 389.00.
